"Oh my god Kane if you don't stop grunting and let me think for a second I'm going to take that metal pipe and crack you over the skull with it. Capishe?"

"Thanks for letting me sleep in here", I offer appreciatively to Kane as I roll up the maps we'd pulled out in a hurry last night. Bellamy radioed me not a couple of minutes ago saying he was going to babysit Jasper who apparently is still hell-bent on his death wish. After wishing him to be careful I left the burning Jaha was doing of our dead. Together we'd lost eighteen of our people to the Black Rain and it's left the camp eerily on edge. Putting the maps away, I add "I can't remember the last time I've slept like that."
"Bellamy told me when we found you", Kane replies with an appreciative nod by the window "You've been kept on your toes these past few weeks. Leading Mecha, the guard, helping Clarke. You've stepped up."
A smirk tugging at my lips I shrug, "Someone's had to hold the fort. Though I'm admittedly jealous of Raven and Abby flying up on that rocket-"
"Marcus!" Jaha cuts me off, bursting through the door rather frazzled "From the ashes, we shall rise!"
Quirking my eyebrow, I tiredly point out "Really? We're back at this Jaha?"
Jaha's attention falling on me, he requests from Kane "May I speak with you? Privately."
Peering over my shoulder to Kane I leave the decision to him. Honestly, I'm fine leaving if Jaha is going to be spouting this crap again. Although Kane strides over and takes a seat beside me at the table "Avery has just as much authority around here as you or I. She stays." I offer a small smile towards Kane before returning my attention to Jaha.
Nodding Jaha doesn't push it further if he wishes to argue. Reaching into his pocket Jaha pulls out the medallion which had meant to lead us to a safe haven from the radiation "I overheard that Grounder out there speak a phrase over the dead. From the ashes, we shall rise. It's not a coincidence. I need to speak with the Flamekeeper."
Whilst I raise my eyebrows curiously, Kane mentions tiredly "You already found The Second Dawn Bunker. It was-"
"The wrong bunker", Jaha cuts Kane off, stressing his point to us, "Cadogon said only those who reached level twelve would be saved." Reaching over for the medallion, Jaha flips it over to expose the Roman Numerals for eleven. Jaha points this out "This is level eleven."
