A/N I don't normally add songs but I feel like for the ending of this chapter this song is necessary because I love it. You don't have to listen- I normally cant multi task- I just thought I'd share it if some of you enjoy listening as you read.
Slowing our roll as we reach the shore, I radio Clarke from the rover Bellamy and I drive "We're here."
I go to get out only to have Bellamy's hand reach out catching mine before I can jump down. Glancing back I watch Bellamy curiously, wondering what is wrong "I'm going to take the rover back to camp."
He didn't have to say it. The reason he's going back is written across his face. "Octavia", I murmur with a nod.
Pursing his lips Bellamy turns his gaze to the waves that roll towards us "It's pathetic. Right? She hates me but I keep coming back for more."
"She's your sister", I tell Bellamy softly "If that was Raven I can't say I would be doing anything different." Bellamy remains quiet, his gaze stuck on the waves which roll in and out.
Entwining our fingers I lift them to my lips, pressing a soft kiss to the thin skin. "Ave..." Bellamy begins quietly "...If I don't see you again-"
"What makes you think I'm not coming back with you?" I wonder curiously returning my gaze to Bellamy.
Bellamy gives me a sad smile and a shake of his head "I saw how excited you'd been when Raven radioed about finding rocket." My heart sinking only proves his point, Bellamy sadly smiling when he reminds me "Ave you were radiating with excitement. You rambled to me about it for hours with the stupidest happy grin on your face. I can't steal that from you."
Swallowing the lie I'm about to tell him, I turned in my seat to stress to Bellamy "You're not taking anything from me." Tilting his head to the side Bellamy's about to respond but I beat him to it. Reaching out to cup his face with my hand I brush my thumb across Bellamy's cheekbone "Remember the promise we made?"
