"That's where you're the wrong Pike. Avery was already exceptional long before you or I even hit theground."

Dropping the core of the apple into the waste bucket the guards have kindly placed in here in case any of the sick Grounders decide to upchuck I stretch my stiff back against the wall. Lincoln has spread the word to the Grounders about Kane's plan whilst I've tried to refuel myself. I've gone through... like... eight apples and it's not remotely normal. Still, I feel my energy levels picking back up as my back rests against the metal cage which surrounds us.
Placing a cup of water beside a faint looking girl, Lincoln slides down the cage beside me. "You know I've never thanked you for keeping your promise", he mentions quietly beside me.
Raising my eyebrows I shake my head at Lincoln, "You've never had to."
"Octavia is the best thing to have happened to me", Lincoln tilts his head to look at me "So yes. I do Avery."
Offering him a soft smile I place my had assuringly on his broad shoulder, "I'll always protect her Linc."
He cannot reply however as our plan is put into motion, a guard voicing up "He says he's ready to talk."
Peering up to the entrance I observe Bellamy move closer to Sinclair as we had planned, his eyes scoping the rest of us inside. "You have something to say?" Bellamy murmurs so quietly I strain myself to hear.
"What do you wanna know?" Sinclair fires back, hand placed against the wiring.
Unsurprisingly, Bellamy answers "Everything."
"You're up Linc", I whisper under my breath, ducking my head.
Hand on a metal cup I swirl the water around the inside, keeping an ear out as Sinclair demands "I want immunity. I'm the Chief engineer and this camp needs me."
Nodding along Bellamy agrees, assuring him "That's up to Pike but it shouldn't be a problem so what have you got?"
Lincoln taking his role, stalks over to Sinclair and Bellamy, glaring them down harshly "So the cowards make their deals to save their own skin."
