"Well thats a shocker."
With Alie aware of our position we have no time to hang around. A few minutes after I had calmed myself from my hysterical breakdown in Raven's arms we're back on the road, Octavia even scoring a new outfit from our visit. Monty ran out to back up the rover closer so Raven has less distance to walk. Taking my eyes off Sinclair who's guiding Monty, I glance over to Bellamy who's watching them intently. My eyes traveling over him I see he's bandaged his right knuckles, most likely from when he'd punched out his fury into Nylah's outside trash bin.
Taking a few steps closer to Bellamy I find myself sliding my fingers over the cloth. He doesn't hesitate to let me, my fingers unwrapping the rag to get a better look. Even in the night, I see they are beginning to bruise, a dark purple hue taking place under the dried bloodied knuckles. "You'll heal", I mention to him wrapping the cloth back around, tucking the loose end inside.
When I go to take my hands away, his grip tightens to hold me in place "Will I?" Glancing up to Bellamy I see him looking guiltily down to me. When I continue to carefully watch him, Bellamy quietly asks "What do you do when you realise you might not be the good guy?"
Furrowing my eyebrows I find myself searching for an answer when there isn't one. There isn't anything I'm going to be able to say which is going to make him feel better. So instead I shrug, murmuring as his eyes search mine desperately "Maybe there are no good guys down here." This doesn't seem to reassure Bellamy whatsoever as his eyes remain on me as if he is still searching for something. Reaching up I place my hand to the side of his face comfortingly, "Choosing to save the people you love Bell isn't stupid. It's not even a choice." Seeing his features soften I feel Bellamy's head sink further into my touch. "Nobody is blind to that."
"Octavia is", Bellamy murmurs quietly into my palm. His dark brown up open to watch me sadly.
"You guys are family", I softly mention to Bellamy "She's grieving over the man she loved and needs someone to blame. But she'll come back to you."
"Will she though?" Bellamy asks unsurely as Jasper helps Raven to the rover behind us.
Offering him a small supportive smile I nod, "When am I ever wrong?"
