"Prince Roan banished from Azgeda"

"You know Avery you have terrible people skills. I'm not sure whether it makes you endearing or a nuisance."

We've been hanging around a room up in the Polis tower for well into three hours. I'm leaning against the ledge gazing down towards the streets below as the rest of the guards remain in the hallway. Everyone below looks so tiny. If I dropped my boot it would smoosh twenty people.

"The sun is setting", Abby impatiently paces the room "Where is Lexa?"

"She'll be here soon", Kane tries to reassure Abby but with a roll of her eyes, I think Abby would disagree. In her defense, Kane had been saying the same line every time she wondered the same thought aloud.

Although this time I find myself agreeing with Kane as I hear Grounder's speaking muffled outside our door. Gazing at the entrance curiously I feel my eyes widen in shock as Clarke walks into the room, past her guards in perfect condition. What shocks me the most is how much she looks like the Clarke I'd grown to know yet still manage appear like another person entirely. Her wavy blonde hair is now in long dreads down her chest, a few coloured a deep blood red. Her clothes are no longer from the Ark, instead traded up for a torn up Grounder coat and pants, her boots thudding powerfully with every step she takes. The only thing that seems to have remained is the crystal blue eyes which use to give off so much innocence.

Watching her walk closer to us I can feel my own heartstrings beginning to tug. Clarke's actually here in front of me and I have no idea how I'm supposed to act now. Abby walks over to her daughter first, arms out she wraps a hesitant Clarke within her embrace. I watch the interaction from afar, giving her and Abby a moment. I observe quietly as Clarke gives herself over to the affection before she pulls away, "I have something to tell you and we don't have much time."

"Wait a minute", Abby holds Clarke up "Just let me look at you."

Going over Kane places his hand on Abby's shoulder, "You'll have plenty of time to catch up when we get back home."
