Trying to twist my body around awkwardly I ignore the desperate struggle and try to use my head despite the stress currently placed on it. I know there is no way out of this airlock without the control panel or the manual override. Yet still, I search desperately as Bellamy, Octavia, and Miller yanked hard on their bindings.
Hearing Raven's muffled voice behind me I shake my head, looking down my extremely pal best friend. "It's going to be alright", I murmur before turning back to my cuffs "It's goi..ing to b...e al...righ...t."
The air around me has dramatically thinned in this small space of time. As my mind begins to get foggy I'm breathing harder to pull in more air. It wasn't the best plan but it's the only plan I have. My lips parting I stretch my neck up in an attempt to clear my airways, consuming more air. With my lungs beginning to feel like they have been set ablaze my legs suddenly give out, my body unable to hold myself up. Blinking I try to steady my gaze but it's hopeless, the plain airlock walls continue to spin. Weak gasps fall from my lips in my desperation to breath. But it's no use. There is little to no oxygen in the airlock anymore. My body dangles limply from the cuffs, my eyes fall closed. Darkness swallows me, my breaths becoming shallow.
Faintly I hear a distant humming before everything come back into focus. First, it's my hearing, rasped coughs falling from my lips when I desperately suck in the new oxygen. I can hear others who seem to be reacting similarly to me, coughing and gasping echoing through the airlock. Opening my eyes I tilt my head, a small smile gracing my lips when I see we are all alive.
Clarke catches my eye from her position on the floor, lightly remarking "Perfect timing as always Blondie."
Once Clarke has collected herself she searches a now very dead Emerson for the handcuffs key. I don't waste time in dropping to Raven's side, her big brown eyes darting to mine. Untying the gag I throw it to the ground as Raven rambles out quickly "Ave Sinclair-"
"I know" I cut her off, unwilling to rehash it. Seeing her eye welling up I pull her into my arms, hugging her tightly to me as Raven cries into my shoulder. As she sobs I look to the airlocks ceiling, keeping my own at bay. As her cries bounce around in my mind, I chant the manta in my head.
