We'd planned to regroup back at Arkadia with the other half of our group when we'd found our rover out of charge. For the past hour, Clarke has been impatiently pacing beside the rover, the action quickly wearing away my patience. Jasper sat mopey atop the rover bonnet as Bellamy monitored the rovers charge, Octavia sitting away from us all sharpening her sword. If I was smart I'd be sharpening my daggers only I don't have the thirst for blood like Octavia does. Luna's refusal to become the next Commander has placed a dampener upon everyone's mood. Nobody knows the next move to take, all we can do is see one step ahead instead of three.
I hated it.
"The rovers almost charged", Bellamy advises us all jumping to the ground "We need to pack up. We'll be home soon."
"Then what? Runaway?"
Irritated, Bellamy slams the door shut to the rover "We're not running away Clarke. We need to regroup with the others to find another way to defeat-"
"There is no other way Bellamy!" Clarke yells hopelessly as he traipses over "We need to find a nightblood! We need to unlock the Flame. It's the only way to stop Alie."
"What do you expect us to do Clarke?" Jasper throws out to her, Octavia rounding to the front of the rover with the rest of us "Walk into random villages and ask for their nightbloods?"
"Cause they adore Skaikru", I sarcastically remark under my breath from the log I've planted myself atop.
Clearly not seeing the insincerity in Jaspers tone, Clarke nods desperately "If that's what it takes."
"No Clarke", Octavia sternly steps forwards "If Alie found us on Luna's rig then she can find us anywhere. I won't help you destroy another innocent Grounder village."
"If we don't find another nightblood there won't be any Grounder villages. Or a home for us to go back to."
Not having any of Clarke's desperate attempts, Bellamy explains "That is all the more reason we go there to make sure our friends are okay."
