Rich's Dad hated him. It was all because he was a homophobic nut job. Rich was hit almost everyday when his Dad would come home drunk. Even one of his friends saw a bruise once.

That's why now, he uses makeup. He just normally uses foundation to cover up the horrible marks on his face. Jake would gladly give him any makeup he needed. Jake was his best friend, the only person he ever told what his Dad does and used to do. His Dad used to rape Rich horribly. Jake wanted to tell the police. But, Rich said it would only make it worse

The abuse didn't just stop. There would be days where Rich would call Jake and sound like he was just beaten up. Rich still said that he was going to be okay even though Jake knew better then believe him.

Jake started to make sure that Rich was safe more and more. Rich would go to Jake's house and cry on his shoulder. Jake hated the fact he couldn't do anything. So, soon Jake was planning something.

School was normal. The classes were the same. Soon, it was lunch. Jake and Rich sat down together and Jake started to tell him about his plan, "We are gonna run away from your dad and this town" Rich had looked at him. "..Wait.. Really? How?" Jake smiled, "I have a bus ticket and stuff already packed" Rich smiled a small bit and hugged Jake.

The rest of the school day was full of excitement for both boys. Rich was so happy that he had someone like Jake. Rich smiled to himself a lot this school day,

At the end of the school day, Jake already had packed food, clothing and hygienic items in a back. Once Jake was ready with the bag, he went to Rich. "Come on," He smiled gently at the other boy.

Rich smiled back. "Okay," They started to walk to the bus station, their lives would be changed forever after this,
