Draco's POV

I was stood just behind Hermione, as she spoke with Ginny about what we should do.

"But, before we do anything or go anywhere. We need to have breakfast." I said. Hermione turned to me, her mouth open about to protest. "Hush, we need to start the day right, Hermione." She turned back around, with a sigh.

"Okay." She said. "But make it quick." The four of us headed downstairs. Hermione pushed open the door, she walked in and gasped. I walked into the kitchen quickly, I saw Ron sat at the table. He was just lounging there, watching us.

"You took your time coming back." Ron said, with a smirk.

"Where were you? You weren't here last night, we thought you had been taken too." Hermione said, rushing over to him to sit beside him.

"While you lot were all out on your little dates." He said. I couldn't tell whether he was disgusted or just being sarcastic. "I noticed they were missing but I knew I couldn't wait for you lot to come back so we could sort it together. I went alone, but I didn't have much luck, I realised that we would probably need him to find them." He pointed at me.

"Well, since you asked so nicely-" I began but then Hermione cut me off.

"Draco, now is not the time for this and he is right, we will need you. You have connections that we don't have, I know it might not be good for you but it will help us find my daughter and Sirius." She said, she was almost pleading with me. But she didn't need to, I couldn't deny her this not if it could help her find Willow.

"Yes, yes it's fine. I'll do whatever I can to help. But they'll be suspicious, I've been gone for a while." I said. She nodded, as she thought.

"You should go back now, try and regain their trust. Then somehow get a message back to us when you've found out anything that could help us find them." Hermione said.

"Alright, I'll be back as soon as I can." I said, then with a smile. I held an image of my room in Malfoy Manor in my head and then in a twist of light, I was gone. When the world was still again, I was stood by the bed in my dark bedroom, the black curtains drawn, the bed made but everything else was how I left it. I went to the door and pulled it open, the corridor beyond was empty. I shut the door behind me as I walked out.

I headed down the corridor to the stairs, considering how many death eaters normally followed Voldemort wherever he went, I was surprised to have still come across no-one. When I reached the top of the stairs there was finally someone prowling about at the bottom. It took me a second to recognise the slim frame and dark hair. "Astor, where is everybody?" I shouted. He spun round quickly.

"Draco, the more important question is where have you been the past few days? The Dark Lord has been concerned. You should go see him immediately." He said, his dark eyes watching me suspiciously as I descended the stairs

"Of course, I will go now. Where is he?" I asked. He pointed at the far door that led to the dining room. I walked over to the door and knocked a couple times. Through the door I could hear someone striding across the room, hard shoes on the wooden floor, then the door was pulled open. It was Pettigrew, a disgusting rat of a man but he had helped Voldemort in many ways so I had to deal with him.

"Sire, it's Draco." Pettigrew murmured.

"Let him in." I heard Voldemort say from further in the room, I couldn't yet see him. Pettigrew stood back and opened the door wider letting me past. I then saw Voldemort sat at the head of the table, his snake, Nagini, winding around his ankles. "Now, Draco, you have a bit of explaining to do. Where have you been the past few days, your mother has been very concerned. And as you're one of my protégés I would have to say, I was a bit concerned too." It took all my self-restraint not to laugh in his face, he wasn't concerned about me, just worried I had betrayed him and that he would have to kill me because that would cause him some trouble with my family. Especially as my family were some of his most loyal followers.

"I needed a bit of time away, I got fed up being stuck in this house all day. I decided to go out on a trip for a few days to refresh myself." I said, I had already planned the lie. And his face seemed to relax so he had obviously accepted it as an answer without any further questions.

"Of course, we all need a break every now and then, but you do not have time for another so I hope that will keep you refreshed for a long time." He drawled at me.

"Of course, Dark Lord. I am now ready to go." I responded.

"Now I have some business to attend to. Goodbye, Draco. I shall talk to you again later." He said. I nodded and turned away from him and left, I heard Pettigrew shut the door behind me. I had been successful and convinced him. Now all I needed to do was find out as much information as I could about what had happened to Sirius and Willow. But I had to give him a bit of time, if I pressed it right away, he would be instantly suspicious. I decided to waste a bit of time until whatever I had to attend later, by wandering around the house and garden.

The sky was bright but grey, as I stepped through the open glass doors into the garden. The bushes rising high around the edges of the garden, flowers blooming at the bottom of them, probably tended to by my mother, she always did love flowers. Talking of my mother, I wasn't sure where she was. I heard heels crunching down the dirt path behind me, I turned quickly.

"Draco!" She said, obviously having to restrain herself from running to me.
