Hermione's POV
Harry paced back and forth in between the beds that filled the room, his mind clearly elsewhere. The whole room had looked at him for a couple minutes, waiting for him to say something else after Seamus had spoken but Harry had just looked down at the ground without another word as though he was trying to form a plan. Then everyone dispersed and went back to what they were doing before we arrived, leaving Harry to his thinking and pacing.
Only Draco, Ron and I now stood watching him. Until I got fed up of standing there and sat myself down on the edge of the nearest bed. The whole school could have slept in here with the amount of beds but there was only a selection of Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students of all ages. All the first years sat in a large group to the side of the room, they were probably terrified by being surrounded by so many people older than them. There were no Slytherins but I doubted whether that was their choice or if the others just didn't want them here because that wouldn't surprise me. The initial response to me and Draco dating proved that my theory was true if anything. Harry stopped for a moment, I looked up, hopeful he might finally say something. But then he went back to pacing and I looked away again, I would try and help him but I didn't want to interrupt his thought process. He knew Voldemort better than the rest of us so he was the best person to come up with some sort of plan. I barely noticed when Ron wandered off to join Seamus, Dean and Neville, it had been a while since we had last seen them so they probably had something random to catch up on. I was surprised Harry hadn't wanted to chat to them more but I supposed he was more focused on forming a plan. I glanced up to watch him go, they all seemed happy considering the circumstances but sometimes it was good to take your mind off the present. Draco had nobody he could talk to, other than me, all his old friends were from Slytherin and not a single one was present. He sat down beside me with a sigh, I turned to him with a smile.
"Harry is going to wear a hole in that floor in a second." I said, leaning my head against his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my waist, so I felt his small chuckle pass through me too.
"The Chosen One defeated by a hole of his own making." Draco responded. "Now that's definitely one way to go." I smiled, Harry better not fall down a hole because then we would be pretty stuck. Leaning against Draco I could pretend we were still in 12 Grimmauld Place sat on the bed we shared, thinking about how to spend the day. Willow asleep in her bed making her cute little sounds, her hair her natural brown, until she would have a dream or a nightmare then it would change. I knew she was safe with Ginny, where nobody would think to look for them but I still worried, I wished I could be there with her. I had to be here though, to help Harry and to make a brighter future for Willow to live in, I could be with her again when Voldemort was gone.
I suddenly had an urge to stand up, I needed to do something and not just sit here reminiscing and watching Harry pace back and forth. So I stood, Draco was a bit taken aback his arm dropping to his side.
"Sorry, I need to move, I can't just sit and wait." I said. He nodded his agreement, standing up beside me.
"I have an idea of something we can do, it will definitely make you feel better." He said, a small smirk on his face.
"What on Earth are you insinuating, Draco?" I said, trying my best to look disapproving, raising my eyebrows at him.
"God nothing too inappropriate, we're in a room filled with children." He said. "But I would say that this isn't too inappropriate." He leaned in closer, so that I could feel his warm breath fan across my face. His arms wrapped around my waist as I moved my hands up to feel his lovely smooth hair, when I heard a laugh. I turned around to see Seamus and the others watching us.
"Do you have nothing better to do?" I said, trying to sound serious but I couldn't help the smile that found it's way onto my face. That made them laugh even more. "God can a couple not get some privacy?" I muttered, making Draco laugh. I pulled my wand out my pocket, Seamus and the others backed away. "I'm not sure whether to be pleased or worried that they're scared of me."
"Who isn't afraid of you Hermione?" He said, with a chuckle. I looked up at him, was he admitting he was scared of me too, that was certainly interesting.
"Wait, is big old scary Malfoy, scared of a little muggle?" I asked, trying not to laugh. He paused and that was all the answer I needed to start laughing.
"Hey, hey!" He said, pulling me closer. I went quiet to let him talk. "I didn't actually respond, thank you very much."
"Well go on then, what is your answer?" I asked, taking a step backwards out of his arms to look clearly at his face.
"Of course I'm not scared of you." He replied, but I could tell by his small smirk that he was lying. I raised my eyebrows.
"Really?" I asked, he chuckled nervously and that definitely told me he was lying.
"Alright maybe just a little bit." He answered and then we both started laughing.
"Anyway back to the main point here." I said. I gestured my wand around us, murmuring the incantation to make us invisible to those around us. The group that were watching us relaxed when I did this and went back to whatever they were talking about before we caught their attention. Draco pulled me back to him so that I could feel his chest moving as he breathed in and out. I looked up to his face as he looked down to me, his silver eyes sparkled. I could look into his eyes all day they were so beautiful. Draco made the first move pressing his mouth down on top of mine, I brushed my hands through his hair that was too smooth to tangle my hands in. I kissed him back until I heard Harry say something. I pulled away, apologising to Draco for cutting our kiss short and turned to Harry.
"Wait, where's Hermione?" He asked, a puzzled look on his face. I murmured the counter spell and me and Draco reappeared. "Oh there you are, what were you doing?" He glanced at Draco's ruffled hair, and smiled. "Never mind, I can work that one out for myself. Oi, Ron get over here, I have an idea." Harry approached me and Draco as Ron came over too.
"So what's this idea then Harry?" I asked, when Ron was stood beside me. Harry paused for a moment before he started to speak.
