Draco's POV

I glanced around my room, checking that no-one was here to have seen me apparate back as that would raise some awkward questions. A quick glance around my room reassured me that there was nobody in here, I loosed a sigh of relief. The black curtains were open now, revealing the lush, green countryside that surrounded the manor, the garden directly below. The sky was overcast, clouds as far as I could see. But, even though I didn't want to deal with my family, staying in my room would have the same effect as not being in the house at all. I needed them to know I was here so that nobody was suspicious. I then heard a faint noise and remembered that I had brought Delphini in here, I saw light reflecting off her green eyes as she was splayed on the bed, her white fur pristine. I felt ashamed that I had forgotten about her, cooped up in here.

Everyone here hadn't missed me for the past hour, so they wouldn't miss me for a couple more minutes. I scooped up Delphini off the bed and apparated back to Grimmauld Place. Hermione nearly dropped her mug when she saw me again, her eyes widening.

"Could you look after Delphini for me?" I said, placing her beside Hermione and then before anyone could answer, I apparated away again. When I was in my room again, I moved to the door and pulled it open. Nobody was in the corridor so I headed downstairs, Death Eaters lingered everywhere as they normally did but I couldn't see my father, Bellatrix or Voldemort anywhere. I had a thought that they might be downstairs with Ginny so I headed towards the stairs to the basement. As I got closer, yet more Death Eaters lined the halls but they all moved out the way for me to pass through. I reached the basement,  Sirius was still unnervingly motionless in the corner but what drew my eye was Ginny in the centre surrounded by my father,  Bellatrix and Voldemort. Bellatrix taking great joy in using the unforgivable curses on her, I fought the urge to hex her, that wouldn't end well but I needed to stop it. They were trying to get answers from her, about what Harry was doing and what he knew. But even as she screamed in pain, she wouldn't give in. Even before properly meeting Ginny, I knew how stubborn she was. She wouldn't give in no matter what was done to her but I didn't want it to come to that, I didn't know how I could intervene without causing further problems for everyone. So I stood there and hoped Bellatrix would soon grow bored, which happened sooner than I thought.

"Blood traitor." Bellatrix shouted at Ginny, her anger spilling out as she stormed out the basement barely sparing me a glance. Voldemort seemed as calm as ever and with a quick glance at me, he left, my father in tow. Ginny lay crumpled on the floor, tears running down her face and her ginger hair knotted. I stood there by the door until the voices of the Death Eaters faded away, I then glanced behind me to make sure there was nobody there before I approached her. She glanced up at me, relief in her eyes. She wiped the tears from her face and ran a hand through her hair as if she felt self-conscious.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" I said, speaking as quietly as I could without whispering so nobody could hear if anyone was still nearby. I couldn't help but glance at Sirius lying motionless in the corner, that spell would need to lifted when Harry and the others arrived otherwise he would be awkward to get out of here. I noticed Ginny looking up at me.

"Just help Harry get me out of here, that's what you can do to help." She said. "Oh and find my wand, I don't want to leave without it."

"I will try and find it. It can't have gone far. But it might take a while to work out who took you. Was there anything noticeable about them?" I asked. She paused for a moment.

"There was two of them and the only distinguishable feature I could pick up on was that one of them had a really raspy voice." She said.

"Okay thanks, I'll go find it." I said, turning and leaving the basement. A man with a raspy voice, I tried to think of who it could be. Trying to speak to all the Death Eaters could take all day but one sure fire way to find them quickly, was look for a crowd of Death Eaters and they would be the people boasting about what they did today and how they were better than the others. And using that idea it didn't take me long to track them down and one of them did have a raspy voice. I passed through the crowd easily as everyone moved out of my way, until I reached the two men. "Give me the blood traitor's wand." I said, hoping that they wouldn't question me as I couldn't think of a reason why. But they didn't, after a moments pause one of them pulled it out and handed it to me. I gripped it and left without another word to them. Pleasantly surprised that it had been so easy.

Ginny's POV

Every limb of my body still shrieked out in pain as I shifted in my position sat against the wall, my head pounded and my throat felt raw from screaming. I felt ashamed to have shown such weakness in front of Bellatrix but I couldn't have stopped it if I tried, I lost all control of my body as she shouted curse after curse at me. Trying to resist against the curses had just made them hurt more. She had tried to look into my mind and my memories but that was something I knew how to resist after Tom Riddle's diary, Voldemort didn't even try and that was something I was glad for, I didn't want him in my mind again. Every part of me told me to run as far away from him as I could, but I couldn't. I was trapped here.
