Draco's POV
I couldn't control my own body anymore, I tried screaming, I tried fighting but Bellatrix just pushed further in until all I could do was watch as I said Crucio again and again and Hermione curled up on the floor in pain. I wished that she would just give in and cry so it could be over for the both of us. But she was so strong and would never give in like that, much stronger than I've ever been. She believed I was that strong though, she thought I could fight it. Maybe I had given in too quickly, let Bellatrix win because it was the easier option. Hermione would not have given in, she would have fought until she lost her mind. I resisted the voice telling me to keep going, I resisted the voice telling me to lift my arm, I resisted the voice telling me to hold my wand. I resisted until I pushed the voice out. I crossed the floor in a couple steps. "Hermione?" She jumped, as I said her name. Moving to back away from me. "It's me, I resisted, I pushed her out. You believed I could and I couldn't let you down." She looked into my eyes as though she was searching for something.
"Oh Draco, you did it. Oh thank you." She said, she went to stand and fell into my arms.
"Yeah I wouldn't try to stand Hermione, you're in way too much pain. I should take you back to Grimmauld Place, I can come back and help the others." I said, she turned to look at me her eyes full of determination.
"I won't let Bellatrix hold me back. I will be fine just give me a moment to regain my strength." She said, this time when she tried to stand she stayed on her feet. I moved to help her but stopped myself, she needed to be able to walk herself if she wanted to help. She then started to walk towards the door and I followed.
Harry's POV
I knew there was no way to get across the room easily we would have to fight our way through. "We're going to have to watch each other's backs make sure nobody gets hexed while their back is turned because then you'll be an easier target to get cursed. Right, is everybody ready?" I asked, they all nodded. "Let's go." I then stepped into the room the others behind me then a second later.
"Isn't that Harry Potter?" One Death Eater said, then the whole room turned pulling their wands out.
"Why yes it is." I said, and then pointing my wand at the nearest Death Eater I started hexing. From the Death Eaters that began exclaiming in surprise I knew the others had too. I didn't dare look around to see if any were leaving to tell the other inhabitants of the house. My main focus was on clearing a path through to the basement. I sent hexes to any Death Eater who moved into my path, many of them not realising quickly enough to dodge them which could have been done easily enough as I was barely paying attention.
Ginny's POV
I could hear noises coming from above as though there was a fight going on, gripping my wand tight I looked through the barred door to see that there was indeed a fight and that Harry and Ron were hexing their way towards me. I had to restrain my joy that I could finally get out of here and remembered Sirius sat motionless in the corner, I headed towards him. I would have to undo the spell but I had no idea which one they had used. I ran through all the spells I could think of and began doing the counter-spells. I heard people hitting the ground closer and closer to the door, but I didn't spare it a thought as I carried on trying to remove the spell on Sirius. Then finally I reached my last option, and I sighed in relief as he sat up.
"Thanks, Ginny." Sirius said as he quickly got to his feet. "They really don't know how to keep prisoners round here, they didn't bother taking my wand." He said as he pulled it out and with a quick smile in my direction he moved to the door. "Confringo." The door blasted apart and Sirius stepped through, I followed him to see the majority of the room turn towards us. But they quickly went back to hexing each other. I turned to see Harry centimetres away and he looked so relieved. He pulled me into a hug.
"I'm glad you're safe." He said but then he pulled away again. "We're just going to have to wait until either Dobby and Kreacher or Draco comes to get us out of here." I nodded to show I understood and turned to see Death Eaters with their wands pointed at us heading our way. Standing back to back we began to send spells and hexes towards them. I risked a quick glance around the room to see Ron fighting with Fred, George and Bill and Sirius heading to Remus, Kingsley and Mad-eye. I turned away as him and Remus hugged. Then suddenly my mum and dad with Tonks burst into the room. My mum began heading right towards me with Tonks but my dad went towards my brothers.
"Bellatrix was in Narcissa's room, she used the Imperius curse on Draco and Hermione told us to leave. She wouldn't take no for an answer." My mum said when she reached us, I had to hold in a gasp. My mum then pulled me into a tight hug and didn't let go until I began hitting her on the arm. "Are you alright?" She asked.
"Mum, now isn't really the time for questions, there's rather a few Death Eaters trying to kill us here. Harry we should go help Hermione." I said. My mum went to object. "No, she's our friend she needs help." Harry nodded, and we began making our way out the room, sending hexes at anyone who began heading our way. We just reached the door when Bellatrix swept in.
"Going somewhere, Potter?" She asked, with a cackle.
