Ginny's POV
I sat in the living room of Grimmauld Place, well the closest thing that Grimmauld Place had to a living room it was much more posh than the living room at the Burrow, I was curled up beside Harry on a black and gold sofa. My mind wandered and as I looked at the clock on the mantelpiece, I realised that Hermione had been in the kitchen a long time with Draco, I hoped that everything was alright between them. Harry seemed on edge as he flicked through a book, but that might just be because Draco was here or that Sirius seemed to have disappeared, I had presumed that Sirius was about somewhere. Ron was sat on the opposite sofa, also on edge, but that was definitely because of Draco being in the house. I wasn't quite sure what exactly it was Ron was doing, he seemed to be just splayed on the sofa, but that was what he was best at. He never did sit like a normal person. I then wondered why Willow was so quiet if she was alone, maybe she was just asleep, or maybe that was where Sirius was, I couldn't be sure. Harry put the book down beside him then he jumped up, I looked up at him, shocked by his sudden movement and Ron looked over too. Harry looked deep in thought, I stood up beside him. "Harry? Is something wrong?" I asked, he turned and looked at me.
"Hermione and Draco have been in the kitchen a long time. Do you think something has happened?" He asked.
"He's right." Ron said, getting to his feet as well. I looked between them.
"I'm sure it's fine." I said. "They've probably got a lot to talk about. But we can go check, if it would put your mind at rest?" Harry nodded. I left the living room, Harry and Ron following behind me. I went down the stairs and went to the door. I was unsure whether to knock or just walk in. I pushed the door open a crack and didn't see them so I decided to push it all the way open and I walked in. Then I noticed Draco was sat against the wall, Hermione crouched beside him, they didn't seem to notice we had entered. I cleared my throat, Hermione turned and stood right up. Draco got to his feet, more gracefully than anyone I had ever seen.
"Hi." I said, trying to fill the silence. I felt Harry standing close behind me, but then he moved round me further into the kitchen. He was watching Draco and Draco was watching him, almost as if they were eyeing each other up, ready for a fight. That was not what was needed right now. I moved to Harry's side and linked my arm through his, anchoring him to my side. Ron was a loose cannon here but he was stood barely through the door, watching from a distance. Hermione smiled at my attempt to start a conversation.
"Hey Ginny. Did you want something?" Hermione asked, watching Harry. Harry looked from Draco to Hermione.
"Yes, I did want something." He said, looking again at Draco. "How exactly did you know where we are? Because no-one else knows, and you must have known to be able to apparate here." Harry was obviously worried but he was turning it to aggression towards Draco. I gripped his arm tighter but he didn't seem to notice. Hermione then seemed to have a moment of realisation and also turned to look at Draco.
"How did you know, Draco?" She asked. Draco looked between us all, realising he was stuck and there was no way out of answering the question. Ron moved farther into the kitchen, I was worried he might make a pass at Draco but he stayed a bit behind me and Harry. Draco better have a good explanation or else he was in trouble because I wouldn't be able to hold back Harry and Ron at the same time.
"I found out about it from Snape because he's in the Order." He finally replied, smoothly. He looked perfectly calm as though there wasn't two men less than a metre away from him, waiting to hex him. Hermione seemed happy with that answer, I also saw that it made sense. Harry and Ron however didn't seem convinced. "I can see you two are not convinced, Potter, can you do legilimency?" He asked, there was a slight tone of disdain in his voice when he said Potter, but some problems could never be solved. I wasn't sure whether Harry could do legilimency, I had never wanted to know, so I had never asked.
"Yes, I can." He said, bluntly. Draco moved past Hermione to stand in front of Harry.
Harry's POV
Draco moved to stand in front of me, Ginny still gripped my arm but I pulled it away so I could get my wand. I pulled it from my pocket, pointed it at Draco and murmuring the incantation, I was in Draco's mind.
I moved through recent memories, him in the kitchen with Hermione, but he didn't want me to see them so they were gone within seconds I just saw them talking together, I then reached a memory from a few days ago. Draco was at Hogwarts, it seemed a lot darker than it normally was, he was walking down the corridor to Snape's office. He reached the door and knocked. From inside came Snape's haughty voice, "Come in." He said. Draco pushed open the door entering the cold, stone room. Snape sat behind his desk, pieces of parchment piled neatly around the room. Vials and boxes, of varying shapes and sizes, that were filled with questionable objects lined the shelves on the walls. "Draco." He said. "Why don't you take a seat." Draco moved to a seat in front of the desk and sat down with that predatory grace he had.
"You asked for me, Professor?" Draco questioned. Snape nodded, he seemed to look conflicted.
"I had thought that after the trying time you have been through -" He said, before being interrupted by Draco.
"Professor, I'm perfectly fine." Draco said.
"Well if you insist, I'm sure you are. But if you want to see the girl, Hermione." Draco inhaled deeply, and Snape noticed, but didn't make any acknowledgement of it. "She's staying at Black's house, 12 Grimmauld Place." He said. "That's all I wanted to tell you, so you can leave now." Draco nodded and stood.
"Thank you, Professor." Draco said. Then he turned and left. Then suddenly, I was travelling back through his mind again.
Then I was in my own head again and it was over. "He's telling the truth." I said, turning to Ron, to reassure him. "It's true. Alright, that's fine then, but you better not let any of your Death Eater friends find out." I said, then I turned to Ginny, she linked her arm back through mine with a smile. Ron didn't seem to want to believe it, but he knew that I wouldn't lie to him.
