I slowly opened my eyes and stared at the plain ceiling that was above me. Great, I lived another day.
Then again, part of me didn't feel so great about it. I lingered for a few moments, observing my old bedroom and allowing the sun radiate on my hand. The curtain was only open a sliver, so there wasn't much sun. But there was enough for me to feel it.
I got out of bed and looked at myself in the mirror. The natural curls in my hair were out to play today. Since my hair looked decent, I simply slipped on some clothes and headed out of my old bedroom.

In the beginning, we all slept in one room together. Part of me missed that sense of safety. I walked down the stairs and noticed Patricia and Beth in the kitchen together. I saw them sipping on a mug and I knew that the coffee was ready. God, I could use some coffee right now.

"Good morning, Liz," Patricia said with a weak smile. I smiled back at her as I filled my cup with steaming hot coffee.
I looked out of the window and watched the people out there. I saw Andrea, Rick, and Lori. I wanted to introduce myself and be kind. I wanted them to feel welcome but I wasn't sure if they were kind or not. I knew T-Dog and Shane were remotely nice. I hadn't talked to Rick enough to figure out if he was.

"Where's Maggie?" I asked after a moment. Beth acknowledged me and quickly spoke up. "She's out on the porch."
I nodded and began walking to the door. I hadn't spoke to Maggie since she had held me while I fell apart. I wanted to check up on her. I found her sitting on the porch watching the others.
"Morning," I said with a smile. Her head snapped towards me and she got a wide smile on her face. "Morning honey. You alright this mornin'?"

I nodded and stood next to her, "I'm okay. Are you okay?"
I sat my warm cup down on the ledge and observed her face. She was smiling. In fact, she was glowing even.
"I'm good. I'm just worried about Patricia still. Even Beth. She's been acting off lately. Your twin powers didn't feel that?"
I smiled at her and began talking, "No, I felt some tension from her. Maybe she's just..."

I stopped when I noticed that she was staring intently at someone. I let my eyes follow her and I realized she was staring at the man known as Glenn. He was staring back at her. I knew they went on a run together yesterday, so I wondered what was going on exactly.

"You and Glenn...did something happen yesterday?"
Maggie quickly looked away from him and her cheeks began turning red. I could tell that she was embarrassed. "What? No. Why would you think that?"
A wide smile danced across my face. "Oh my god. Something did happen!"
Maggie punched me in the shoulder and her face turned a burning red, "You shut up, Liz. Nothing happened."

"You little fox. Tell me everything." I felt giddy. None of us had a romance in ages.
"Elizabeth," she hissed through clenched teeth. I put my hands up in surrender. I wouldn't pressure her to tell me, but I knew what had happened. It wasn't hard to fill in the blanks.
"Okay, okay. Your secrets safe with me, I swear."

Maggie began getting angry at this point. "Oh really? We were just lookin' at each other. What about you and tough guy over there, huh? I saw you two looking at each other at the funeral."
I couldn't help but allow a laugh to escape my lungs, causing Rick and Glenn to look in our direction. "I don't even know who he is. But you know who Glenn is, don't you? You know him very well."
My teasing caused me to laugh even harder and Maggie punched me in the shoulder again.
"Elizabeth shut the hell up," she whispered, swatting my hand away from her. I continued dying of laughter while she continued getting angry.

"I swear to god, I will kick your ass right here."
"Oh will you? Don't do it while Glenn is watching. He may think you're violent."
Maggie put a finger in my face and began giving me threats, "I will get into your room while you're sleeping and I swear to you I will-"
"I need a horse," a voice said from in front of us.
