Before I even had time to scream, I pulled Lori up as fast as I could. I didn't know what our next move was, I only knew that I had to keep her safe. I would protect her at all costs. Lori's face showed how terrified she was. I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her with me. The rest of the group was running, trying to find anywhere to go.

I kept my hand locked with hers, making sure I didn't lose her. I knew that I had to get her inside. I had to get her away from all the chaos. I could feel her hand slipping, but I made sure to grip it even tighter to prevent losing her. We continued running, trying to catch up with the others. Maggie was next to us, trying to stay with me.

Once we were finally catching up, a group of walkers came out of no where and cut us off. Once I realized we couldn't follow them, I screamed. I could hear Daryl calling my name in the distance, but I didn't have time to focus on him. I had to protect Lori at all costs. "Follow me!" Maggie shouted, speeding towards a door to the prison. I hadn't entered through this door before, so I wasn't sure where it would lead us. It didn't matter. We had to get inside to stay alive.

Lori and I ran to the door, the walkers right at our back. Once we were inside, I quickly slammed the door shut and clicked the lock. That's when it all went wrong. Not only were walkers everywhere, but the alarm to the prison began going off. I flinched, covering my ears from the terrible sound. "Who is doing this?" I screamed, my ears now hurting.

Maggie shook her head, also covering up her ears. "I don't know. We...we have to move."

I could hear the walkers pounding at the door even over the siren. I nodded at Maggie and we all took off once more. We ran down halls, so many halls. I didn't know where we were going. It seemed like we were going no where. I constantly slowed down, allowing Lori to go ahead of me. If anyone was going to get bit, it was going to be me. At least I would live to tell the story.

After a few moments of running, Maggie put a hand out and told us to stop. I did what I was told, pressing myself against the wall. I thought that there was a horde ahead of us, but I was wrong. After Maggie stared for a few moments, she got a look of both realization and terror. "Carl!" she screamed, running around the corner.

Carl. Carl is alive. I ran after Maggie, Lori by my side. When I saw Carl running towards us, I realized why he was running. There was a horde of walkers behind him. I heard Lori moan, but I didn't know why. I looked everywhere, searching for a way out. That's when I spotted a small door on the wall next to me.

"In here!" I shouted, opening the door. Lori, Maggie, and Carl all ran in with me. I watched as Carl slammed the door, preventing any walkers from joining us. That's when Lori moaned again, clutching her stomach. No. No. Don't tell me she's doing that for the reason I think.

Her breathing increased as she moaned again, this time louder. "Lori, what's happenin'?" Maggie asked, approaching her. Lori braced herself against the wall and took in deep breaths. "The baby's comin'."

I pushed Maggie out of the way and faced Lori. "You have to wait. We have to wait until we find Carol and my father. You have to hold on."

She moaned again, bending over. "No, it can't wait. It's comin' now." Once she spoke, she let out a shout. This can't be happening. Not now.

We all looked at each other as we tried to figure out what to do. Carl's face was full of terror as he watched his mother struggling to wait. I met Maggie's eyes, not realizing what we would have to do. As much as I hated it, we would have to deliver this baby. We would be responsible for this.

"We have to do it here," Maggie stated, her voice shaky.

We didn't waste time. We brought Lori to a clear area on the floor where she laid down. I had never witnessed childbirth before. I didn't exactly know how it went, so this would be new to me. If we could do this, we could do anything. once Lori was laying down, she removed her pants and spread her legs. Maggie sat in front of her, laying her jacket under Lori's legs.
