Summer, summer, summer was all I could think of in the back of my mind every since the last day of school. What could I do? Where could I go.
I was on my way home from picking up my diploma at school and as much as I hated walking, today didn't feel so bad to after all.
Ahead of me was a familiar body. Wasn't sure if it was a classmate or not but I didn't want to make any eye contact for any reason at all.
Moving quickly, I slipped my way past this person making my way across the street.
'Aye girl, remember me?' The person says causing me to turn around seeing a shirtless body.
'Hm?' I reply
'You remember me don't it?' He says walking into the street making his way over to me.
'Jahseh correct?'
'Mhmm, where you headed? And why you walking for? It's hot as hell today.' He says throwing his shirt over his shoulder.
He also had some rolled up paper in his hand. I'm guessing it's his diploma.
'Decided to walk since I live right up the street. I was just picking up my diploma.' I say walking
'Aw forreal? Damn. Aye I got my shit too I live all the way on the other side of fucking town. My mama took my car from me on some petty shit so I just been walking damn near every where.' He says walking a bit ahead of me.
'Aye get on the side walk.' He tells me.
Was he looking out for me? It was kind of a turn on.
'What she take your car for?' I ask
'Nosey motherfucker I see.' He laughs 'I'll tell you if you give me your number.' He smiles
'Boy bye. I gotta boyfriend.' I say laughing
'So.' He says blankly with no remorse. 'Fuck he gone do?' He asks
'Well...that I don't really know.' I say
'Ok. Exactly, now where that number.' He says laughing
'Ugh. Here lil boy.' I say handing him my phone.
He proceeded to put his number in then handed my phone back.
'Here ya go.' He says all bubbly
'Don't be blowing my phone up either cause he always checking my shit.' I say as we were still walking
'Nigga got trust issues? What you do to him?' He says joking around
'Ian do shit. He just got issues thinking somebody cheating on his ass all the damn time.'
'Sound like he probably cheating on you.' He says I'm a serious manner
'Might be but it's whatever. I used to the bullshit.' I say walking into the street behind him.
'Aye didn't I tell yo ass to get on the side walk.' He says. He sounded so sexy.
'Shut up. I'm snapping you up.' I say taking a picture.
'Ooouuu forreal? Lemme see.' He says turning around looking at my phone.
'See look.' i say turning up my brightness a bit more.

'Um. Aye we almost to my house.' I say changing the subject
'Aye don't be changing the subject.' He saying pushing me playfully making me laugh.
'I told you Jahseh I got a crazy ass boyfriend and he ain't having it.'
'Ugh. Well can we at least be friends or some?' He says trying to hold my hand.
I sat there contemplating the thought.
'Please Nina?' He begs
'Okay Fine. But I gotta change your name in my phone to a girl name so he won't suspect anything weird shit.' I say unlocking my phone
'Damn it's like that.' He says
'Oh my god yes.'
'Just leave the nigga.' He says
'I would but he got issues. He'll try beating my fucking ass Jah.'
'Call me then when he pull up to do so. I'll handle him.'
'Jahseh no. I don't want you in no trouble.'
'Come here. Look at me.' He says lifting my chin
'Read my lips. Fuck. That. Nigga. Period' he says.
'Well...I'll tell him only under one condition.' I say pulling him close to me.
'What's that?'
'You gotta be there when I tell him but you can not put your hands on him.' I say
'Well okay. Only if he don't make a move first. You know I got a couple loose screws.' He laugh kissing the back of my hand 'But damn, I'll try for you.' He says
'Thank you. I'll text you. This me right here.' I say pointing to my house.
'Aight. I'll see you whenever.' He says smiling while waving
