Fall Seventeen

3rd PERSON's POV

The party started. All of them was happy and surprised.

A man from a dark room took a glance on the door hole. The people who is outside and enjoying the party.

"Enjoy, people. 'Cause I'll make sure that all of you will scream in pain and agony." He said then laugh.

Prof Liera look at that the dark door. She let out a deep sigh and turn.  She look around and found how happy her STUPIDents is.

Lizzy tap her shoulder twice.

"Shan! U-Umalis na tayo dito. Pwede naman yun diba?" Mahinang bulong ni Lizzy at pasimpleng tumingin sa mga babaeng kasama nila sa floor na yun.

Pasimple silang tinitingnan at binabantayan ang bawat gawin nila.

"You can, but I can't!" Shantal said and took a sip on her vodka.

"What? Shan, hindi kita iiwan dito. I will fight with you, I'm sure the whole Spade Class will help too. Specially, Jiroh!"

Shantal give Lizzy a sideward glance and seek for Jiroh's presence.

She found Jiroh sitting comfortable on a couch while her mother was stroking his hair. Jiroh was smiling widely.

Naramdaman naman ni Jiroh ang titig na yun kaya napatingin sya sa pwesto nila Shantal at Lizzy.

He smile at them and stood up. Nagpaalam sya sa nanay nya na pupuntahan nya sila Shantal at Lizzy na nasa sulok lang. Seryoso at tahimik na umiinom. It was unusual in Lizzy, she was a party animal but the heck. They are facing a problem and she was not in the mood to party.

"Remember, Shan. If you want to talk to Jiroh better use a code."

"He can read codes?"

"Well he can only read Morse code fastly."

Pasimpleng inabot sa kanya ni Lizzy ang sticky notes at isang papel.

Morse code lang ang kayang basahin ni Jiroh kahit tingnan lang nya iyon ay mababasa nya iyon agad-agad.

"Hey!" Jiroh call them happily.

Lizzy give a fainted smile to Shantal and smile at Jiroh.

"Happy birthday,  bro. You're 24 now!" Lizzy said and hug cuddle Jiroh.

"Thanks! What's with a tight hug, Lizzy?"
Takang tanong ni Jiroh ng maramdaman nya kung gaano kahigpit ang yakap sa kanya ng kapatid.

Medyo naalarma si Lizzy at mabilis na napahiwalay sa kapatid.

"Oh, sorry! Don't mind it." Tiningnan ni Lizzy si Shantal na nagsusulat na sa sticky note.

Probably writing Morse code for Jiroh.

"Iwan ko muna kayo ni Shan ha, puntahan ko lang sila Tita."

Lizzy caressed the cheek of her brother and smile at him fainted.

Nangunot ang noo ni Jiroh at magtatanong sana pero agad s'yang nitong nilagpasan.

Napahawak si Lizzy sa bandang tyan nya. Diniinan nya iyon ng bahagy at umilaw ito.

"Sh*t, we only have a little time." She murmur and sip her margarita.

Tiningnan nya uli ang kapatid na nakatitig kay Shantal at ang itim na pinto sa may bandang likuran.

"5 hours left. Nakapili na ba ang totoy na yun?"  Lizzy froze for a while.

She look at Happy who was still smiling mockingly. Suot pa din nito ang dress at kuwintas nya na bigay pa ni Jiroh.

"I-I don't know!" Lizzy said in a very low tone.

"Dapat makapili na sya, sayang pa naman kayo. Well, if Shantal choose to marry my Boss then all of you will be save but if and only if she doesn't want it, 1 of the 3 of  you will die tonight and wr can't promise na hindi madadamay ang mga batang nandito."

Nilinga ni Happy ang tingin nya. Nakatingin sa kanya ang mga kasamahan nya na pasimpleng nagbabantay sa paligid.

"Prof!" Jiroh catch Shantal's attention.

Shantal glance at him and sigh. She forcedly plaster a smile on her lips.

"Happy birthday, Jiroh!" Even if this is not going to be happy at the end. She added on her mind.

"Thank you, Prof! Hindi mo alam kung gaano mo ako napasaya dahil dito. Kahit na pinakaba mo kami kanina." Jiroh laugh at his thought.

But it was quickly fade when he notice that Shantal didn't laugh too nor smile of that idea.

Shantal discern it kaya naman agad syang gumawa ng pekeng ngiti.

"P-Prof may problema ba?" Medyo napalakas ang sabi ni Jiroh noon kaya naman napatingin sa kanila ang mga bantay sa gilid.

Shantal cupped Jiroh's face. Nagulat pa si Jiroh sa ginawa ng kanyang Prof.

"No! No! No, birthday boy. There's no problem here. I was just too happy because one of my stupidents is happy."

Shantal was too nervous but she was too good to hide it and paste a blank expression on her face.

Jiroh's eyes narrowed.

"There is something!" Jiroh whimper.

Shantal smile at her. Pasimple nyang idinikit sa ilalim ng baso ang sticky note at ibinigay iyon kay Jiroh.

"Have a tossed of liquor for your 24th birthday, Jiroh." Shantal said and tossed their glasses.

Binigyan nya ng makahulugang tingin si Jiroh. Pasimple nyang isinisenyas ang ilalim ng baso.

Na-gets naman ito ni Jiroh kaya kahit nagtataka at pasimple nyang hinawakan ang ilalim ng baso.

"What is this?" He ask still whispering.

"Read it but be sure that no one will see it." Shantal said before taking a sip.

Jiroh nodded his head.

"Excuse me, Prof. Saan ba ang cr dito?" Bahagyang nilaksan ni Jiroh ang boses para hindi magtaka ang mga tao sa paligid.

Happy and her colleagues was quiet  comfortable. Hindi nila alam na nagkakaroon na ng idea si Jiroh sa nangyayari.

"Dyan lang, liko ka sa kanan tapos may white na pinto doon yun na yung cr."

Dinig nilang sabi ni Shantal.

"That boy was hot huh, but I don't think he's too naïve by what is happening right now." Happy said.

Sinundan nila ng tingin si Jiroh hanggang makaliko ito sa kanang hallway.

Jiroh quickly lock the comfort room's door. Tiningnan nya ang sticky notes na binigay ni Shantal sa kanya.
