The wind whistled through the trees, the sky was a slight gray color as clouds took over. The sun barely peeked through, it felt cold. The man with long hair walked down the road, his beanie was the only thing keeping his long head of hair from flying. He took a few steps before abruptly stopping, this pole almost hit him in the face.
He looked up to be face to face with that girl, well her picture. Along with that boy, they were missing. There was a number below it, he pulled off the small sheet of paper and examined it. The back had printed wording as the front only carried a phone number.
"If you have any information please call."
He didn't care about the reward, he never did. But if these two teens really needed to go home, and he had information on that, he couldn't keep that to himself. He looked at the phone next to him, it was one of those pole like things, it reached about his lower shoulder.
He grabbed the actual phone part and dialed the numbers on the front, it rang for a few seconds until someone answered.
"Hello?"
"Hi, I have information on Clementine and Mitch."
Marlon felt his heart speed up hearing that, he called over Jill. The short girl ran over eagerly, was it possible they'd be coming home?
"I saw those two, about a month ago. They were in this gas station, he had come over to us and asked if he could run away with her. I didn't question their actions, I just helped her get food."
Marlon chewed at his lip hearing that.
"But do you know where they went?" He asked, Jesus let out a small hum as he leaned against the pole.
"I heard the boy talking about going some place, to one of his friends houses, Willy?" He said quietly. The blondes eyes widened once he heard that.
'They went to Willy." He mouthed.
"Is there anything else you know? Anything at all?" He asked, his voice sounded desperate.
"They went to the train station, the one where a bunch of travelers and business men go through."
Marlon wrote all this down, it made him realize they were there. The day Clementine ran away they stood outside, meaning she could've been home the first day she left. If he hadn't been so lazy and went with Mitch maybe things would've been okay. Not for him and Brody, but for Clementine and Louis. Maybe he was a screw up.
"Okay... thank you so much." He whispered, he hung up the phone and stuffed it in his pocket.
Jill leaned against the couch as she sighed, she was worried sick about those two. They were her friends, she was especially worried about Louis. Lately he had been leaving class early, and staying up late. No one knew why, except for Marlon, the blonde knew everything about Louis. They were best friends.
"Don't tell Louis, not yet. We don't even know if it's for sure, and I want to surprise him if we do bring her home." He said with a soft smile, Jill only chuckled as she shook her head.
"Whatever you say blondie."
Marlon scowled at the short girl, though he still wore a smile. The two of them bickered like siblings, it was a friendship you'd never expect. Jill sat on the couch, notepad in hand as she looked at the tv. Those two were the only ones looking for their friends, it almost felt overwhelming.
"Any news on Lee?" Marlon asked quietly, the brunette only shook her head as she sighed.
"He's still in a coma, they don't know when or if he'll even wake up." She whispered, non of them knew the man very well, but they knew Clementine cared deeply for him. He was her dad.
