Clementine laid in bed, staring up at the white ceiling as music played next to her. She had put on some song, not that she knew the name of it, all she cared about was the soft melody that came from it. A soft knock came from her door, the noise startling her slightly as she squeezed her eyes shut.
"Yeah mom?"
"Kenny's waiting outside." The woman whispered, opening the door slightly. Clementine let out a soft sigh, standing up and gathering her things, stuffing everything into an old bag. Carly watched with a frown as her daughter packed, although the arrangement wasn't lasting long, it still hurt to know she could support her family enough. She had to work two jobs just to keep their mouths fed and pay the bills, them living with Kenny would be their best shot until she made enough money.
Clementine took another look around her room, yes she'd be able to visit Carly often, Kenny didn't live far away. She was still upset, not being able to live with her mother. Louis stood beside Carly how, holding his hand out for the bag. Clementine flashed him a small smile, giving him the purple bag and following the two outside.
"You ready Aj?" Carly shouted from the bottom of the stairs, his booming footsteps rang around the house as he jumped down, a proud smile stuck on his face.
"I'm always ready." He boasted, dashing out the door and towards Kenny's truck. Louis let out a deep chuckle, slowly following the young boy outside. Clementine and Carly walked along the lawn, no words exchanged between the two. Clementine stared at the houses around them, it made her sad.
She blamed herself, saying she was the reason for their moving and Lee's death. Carly noticed her daughters tense state, the way her shoulders were raised.
She gently nudged her daughters shoulder, her smile was kind and welcoming. "I love you both, take care of Aj for me." She whispered, holding onto the teenage girl tightly. Clementine hugged her mother back, closing her eyes and relaxing in the embrace.
"We will, I love you too."
Carly watched as Clementine sat in the car, along with Aj, Kenny, Katjaa, and Duck. Carly gave one final wave to Kenny, watching as he started the car.
"We'll call you when we get home." He said quietly, looking at the empty road ahead. Carly gave a simple nod, staring at the ground.
"Drive safely." She whispered, watching as they drove off. Louis and Carly stood by the sidewalk, watching as the car drove off. Louis pitied Clem's family, they had lost someone so important, and now she couldn't even live with her mother.
"I'm sorry about all this, but you're a real good mom from the things she's said about you." He said quietly, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. The woman only sighed, looking into the distance, almost searching for the car as she nodded.
"Thank you Louis."
"Anytime."

"Louis what are you doing?" Clementine hissed, watching as her boyfriend placed a cup in front of his phone. "Lou I can't see you!" She pouted, he quickly moved the red plastic cup, now showing his handsome face. Clementine smiled smiled softly, admiring her boyfriend through the small phone screen.
"Sorry love." He whispered, continuing to sip his drink as he stared at his tv. "How's the new living space?"
"It's fine I guess, I share a room with Aj now so that sucks." She mumbled, the young boy quickly hopped up and waved.
"Hi Louis!"
"Hey little man." He replied, grinning as the young boy sat back down. Clementine let out a small huff, rolling her amber eyes as she nodded.
Louis looked at his girlfriend with a smirk, leaning against his couch as he opened his mouth to speak. "He couldn't sleep in the same room as Duck?"
"Aj refused." She said simply, holding onto one of the fluffy pillows tightly.
Louis let out an understanding hum, watching as his girlfriend scolded her brother. He couldn't help but admire her, the way her curls dangled and bounced. The way her brows furrowed slightly, he found it adorable. Clementine whipped her head around, staring back at her phone with an apologetic smile.
"Sorry about that." She sighed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "This definitely isn't how I want to spend our weekends apart." She giggled nervously, leaning against the plain white wall. Louis only shrugged, smiling kindly at his girlfriend.
"We've got school on Monday, we can hangout there. For now I'm okay with seeing your beautiful face through a screen." He whispered flirtatiously, he could see a faint tint of blush appear on her cheeks.
"Yeah yeah, whatever."
"What? It's true!" He teased, his raspy voice raising slightly as he huffed. Clementine rolled her eyes, shaking her head with a small smile.
"Whatever you say-"
"What are you guys talking about? I'm bored." Aj said, pushing Clementine out of the way. The young boys toothy grin was shown, he seemed to be proud of what her did. Louis let out a chuckle, watching as Clementine nudged her younger brother. "Ouch my rib!"
"Go talk to Duck!" She hissed, trying to push him out of frame. As the two continued to bicker, Clementine quickly grabbed her phone and ended the call. She glared at Aj, rolling her eyes once seeing his proud smirk. "I can't have privacy for one minute." She mumbled, quickly writing him a text.
"Sorry about that, call another time?"
A few moments after sending that, her phone buzzed in her hand. She looked down with a grin, seeing his sweet reply.
"Don't sweat it, we can call later. Love you goodnight :)"
"Love you goodnight."
