CHAPTER 19 - ETHAN H.

CHAIIRA'S POV

"Wait, what, Ice?" Gulat na tanong ko sa kanya. "What are we doing here? Alam mo naman kung anong problema ko sa bestfriend mo, e. Why'd you bring me here?" May halong inis na tanong ko sa kanya. 

"Relax, Chaii..." He chuckled and got out of his Chevrolet. 

"Bahay 'to ng mga Porsche, yes, pero dito rin naka-stay ang mga pinsan niya - sina Sydney and Ethan." 

Kung totoo 'yong mind blown, baka sobrang lakas ng pagsabog na nangyari. I am LITERALLY mind blown. Hindi ko naman inakala na mag-pinsan sila? Akala ko naman kaibigan lang ni Ice? 

So let me recap this, ano. 

Nagtanong si Ice sa akin kung anong problema ko sa buhay. To answer him, I asked a question about starting my own business which would be focused on cooking. He wanted to help, so he told me to meet his friend - which, he said, will surely help me with my problems in business. He DID NOT inform me na 'yong kaibigan na sinasabi niya is my ultimate enemy's cousin?

"Let me answer your question kahit hindi ka nagtatanong," he started. "I didn't mention it kasi I know that you will surely dismiss the thought. Gusto lang naman kita matulungan with that problem of yours," tuloy niya pa. 

"If I knew how to start and handle a business, then I wouldn't have to ask for help to anyone else."

Nakaramdam naman ako ng hiya at lungkot sa sinabi niya. Kung sabagay, totoo nga naman. All he wanted was to help me with my problem. Actually, 'yung fact pa nga lang na gusto niya akong tulungan, isang malaking bagay na sa'kin ta's ang lakas ng loob kong mag-reklamo. 

I sighed. 

"I'm sorry, Ice," I sincerely apologized after realizing my fault. 

"Nah, it's okay," he walked towards me. "I totally understand. I'm sorry I didn't tell you from the start," he beamed a bright smile, too contagious na napangiti na rin ako in return.
