Ugh, it's happened again.

Another instance where we need to be informed of the awful people who dare call themselves role models, who also claim to be icons for Team Internet.

Obviously, there's Nash Grier *gags*, Ed, and recently we've heard about Alex and Tom (and wrongfully heard the names of Dan, Tyler, and Corey Videl pop up, but they're cool, bless their hearts), but now we have another name to tack onto the list. Isn't that just swell?

I didn't know about this until recently, but after looking into it only in the slightest, it's obvious this guy is a total douche canoe. Sam Pepper.

I never really had an opinion on this guy, he was another YouTuber and I saw his face sometimes, but that was it. I don't think I've even seen any of his videos. But today, he uploading something called "Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank" (lovely title, dick.). I didn't watch the video because I didn't want to support it, but I've learned the the jist of it was that he would walk up to random girls on the street asking for directions, and then he would pinch their asses with a fake hand. Lovely, right? News flash: That's sexual harrassment.

And apparently this isn't the first time. He's also made another video where he literally handcuffed himself to girls and forced them to kiss him before letting them go. THIS ISN'T RIGHT.

While looking through the tumblr tag, I noticed someone responding to a message they recieved that said "when you say that you know sam pepper is an asshole from personal experience what do you mean? im not saying youre a liar i just would like to know sorry". Now, I'd tell you the synonpsis of their answer, considering it was quite long, but I think it's really important, so I'm going to copy the entire thing for you to read.

"dont be sorry! people should know.

ok so i went to vidcon in 2013, right? and he was there.

basically i got there a day or two early (i had gone with my friend imogen) so we decided to walk around the courtyard for a while and check out everything, bc i had never been to california before and i wanted to look around.

sam pepper was there, and he and whatever his friend’s name is were skateboarding around, flirting with this group of girls who were pretty clearly underage. me and my friend were talking to the side, not really caring what he was doing bc we didn’t really care about sam pepper.

but it was basically me + imogen, plus sam pepper, his friend, and these four-ish girls in the courtyard, and sam pepper skated over to us and offered us cigarettes (which is a disgusting thing to do, esp bc i was only 15, imogen was only 14 and we didn’t look any older).

he then laughed when we raised our eyebrows and were like “um, no, fuck off” and skated off, then continued flirting and teasing these girls and skating away when they tried to take selfies or w/e.

later, (after the con itself had started), i was in the hotel lobby with imogen + 2 girls we had met the other day and were friendly with and this little boy, (couldn’t have been more than 10 or 11 years old), with a camera around his neck and a notepad in his hand, walked up to sam pepper, (who was standing in his group, not really talking to anybody but surrounded by his friends), and clearly asked for an autograph or a picture or something, but sam pepper just looked at this kid, physically shoved him away (the kid stumbled!!!!) and then sam pepper laughed in his face before walking away. the kid was on the verge of tears, and me and my friends couldn’t believe what had happened.

the guy is a dick. the above is just my personal experience, not to mention his videos where he handcuffs himself to girls and forces them to kiss him before he lets them go, and his most recent one where he pinches girl’s butts (again, without their consent)

(the links go to his videos, so dont click them if ur trigged by any of this or if you dont want to support him in any way)"

Huh. THat was pretty douchey, huh? In short, you really shouldn't bother supporting him (if you ever did). Jack Howard tweeted about this video (I love him, and I thank him for doing so) (I'll leave a link to his tweet in the comments, along with links to the videos and the original post that I copied above), and I hope that someone else in the YouTube community speaks up about this soon, specifically John or Hank Green. Sam Pepper was invited to VidCon 2014, but I sure as hell sope he isn't invited to the next.

(This is pretty short, but it's all the information I have now and I don't think much else needs to be said. I'd rather inform you sooner rather than later.)
