Ace's POV's

"May date ka na?

I closed my locker door, locked it before looking at Ash.

"Date?"

He gave me a look, and I still didn't understand.

"Ang hina mo talaga."

"What do you mean?" tanong ko before I started walking down the hall.

Hinabol nya ako bago nya pinatong ang braso nya sa balikad ko. "Sa awards night, remember?"

Napaisip ako bigla, awards night? This week na ba iyon?

"Sa Saturday na, bro" sabi ni Ash na parang narinig ako.

"I don't think you need a date for that" I answered nonchalantly

"Hindi mo nga kailangan, but everyone is bringing a date."

I stayed silent.

"Bro, mas maganda pag may kasama ka, it's a big event, and you know other schools will also be attending."

"Do I have to care?"

"Not really but.."

"but what?"

"Oh, wala. You probably won't care."

I stopped walking and faced. "what?"

He was about to open his mouth when the three joined us.

"Hey, man" greeted nila.

I nodded at them. "Hey."

"Anong bago?" tanong ni Hunter sabay akbay sa amin ni Ash.

"Tinatanong ko lang kung may date na si captain."

The three looked at me.

"May date ka na Captain?"

I sighed. "Do I have to have one?"

They all looked at each other before settling their gaze at me.

"I mean," sagot ni Galen, adjusting his bag on his back. "You don't have to have one but.."

All of them nodded at the same time.

Here we go again.

"But what?"

"Ace!" a high pitch feminine voice yelled.

I looked behind me and found Ashley running towards our direction. She stopped in front of us and smiled.

"How are you?" she asked with a smile.

She was wearing our school colour hoodie with black leggings. Her hair was in a messy bun and no trace of makeup.

She looked different.

"I'm good," sagot ko, "How are you?"

"Oh, I'm good as well" she answered with a smile

"Anong nakain mo?" tanong ni Ash habang lumapit kay Ashley. Hinawakan nya yung buhok nya at napakunot ng noo. "late ata ikaw nagising."

She touched her hair before smiling again. "I guess."

"Ang saya mo ata" commento ni Hunter. "share mo naman."

She hugged her books tightly before smiling once again. "Wala naman, just my parents back in town."

"Saan galing?" tanong ni Hawke

"States"

"Are they staying for a while?" I asked since we all know that her parents like to go on a business trip a lot.
