Ace's POV'S
"Did you try to set me up?" I asked.
She looked up, and as soon as she saw me, she turned away and gazed at the window.
Umupo ako sa tabi nya before looking around. It has been a while since nagka detention ako, the last time I was here, it didn't really go well. Today, however... wasn't bad at all.
And to think that there's only two of us here.
"Tell me," I said, facing my body towards her. "What did I do wrong this time?"
"Meeting me."
I frowned. "Well, who was it that went to the boy's locker room, specifically the shower room?"
Her head turned slowly to face me, and I would be lying kung sasabihin ko na hindi ko nagustuhan nang namula ang mga cheeks nya.
"Hindi ko alam pinag sasabi mo."
I nodded. "That's what I thought" I faced the front when a skinny teacher with a round glasses came in.
He looked at the two of us then shook his head. "You guys can do whatever you want, but you can't leave until four-thirty." He sat on his chair before focusing on his work.
I sighed. "Well, this is boring."
"Kasalanan mo kung bakit tayo nandito."
"Are you sure about that?"
She tilted her head before answering. "I'm sure."
"I can't say the same thing."
"Kung hindi mo ak-"
"Quite!"
We both looked at the teacher who was giving us a hard look. Tinaas nya ang salamin nya sa ilong nya bago sya bumalik sa ginagawa nya.
"If I didn't, what?" Bulong ko nang hindi nya na pinagpatuloy.
She took out a book from her bag and decided to not answer me.
"So, you're ignoring me now," it wasn't a question, more like a statement when I said it.
She put her forefinger sa labi nya, telling me to be quiet before pointing to the teacher in front of us.
I took a notebook and a pencil sa bag ko before writing her a question.
What were you going to say earlier?
I passed her the note, she looked at me questionably, and I pointed the question na ni lagay ko sa papel. She started writing something before giving it back to me.
Hulaan mo
I frowned before writing an answer.
Like you, I'm not a fortune teller.
Well, that's too bad then.
Are you playing with me?
Not in a million years.
Letting out a sigh of frustration, I peeked at her direction. She was smiling. If I didn't know any better, she's messing around with me. Two can always play her game.
That is good to know. At least I know there's a loyal person on my side.
She rolled her eyes as a smirk came out of my mouth.
I wouldn't be too confident about that.
You just declared your loyalty, tho.
I wasn't declaring anything.
