Ace's POV'S

"Congrats, Ace!"

I looked behind me to find the source of the voice, and I couldn't help but smile.

"Thanks, Faith" Lumingon ako sa likod nya pero wala syang kasama.

"Bumalik sya sa clinic."

Napunta ang mga mata ko ulit sa kanya as a frowned appeared on my face. "What?"

"Hinahanap mo si Phoebe, diba?"

I blinked once before ko na register ang sinabi nya. "Oh"

Seriously? That's all I can say?

"Anyway, I'm here to ask you some questions if you don't mind?"

"Sure"

What is wrong with me? Am I actually looking for her?

"What do you feel about winning this game tonight?" tanong nya with that reporter kind of voice. She took out her pen and notepad out of her small bag as she waited for me to reply.

"Of course, I am definitely happy. My teammates and I practiced really hard every day after school for this, so all those hard work and sweats were definitely worth it."

She smiled as she nodded to let me know she understood. "Were you nervous before the game started? Did it ever crossed your mind of what you and the rest of the team might do if you lost instead?"

"Being nervous is pretty much normal for us whenever we have a game, but we all make sure that it won't actually affect our performance to do well. We love playing, so I tried to tell my teammates to enjoy the game, don't feel any pressure because it won't help anyway. Whether we lose or not, it doesn't matter. We enjoy the game, but of course, we also enjoy winning so.."

"Last year, your team failed to win the championship, as a captain and as one of the players as well, do you think your team can win and bring home the trophy tomorrow night?"

I looked around and saw my team jumping up in joy, excitement written all over their faces. Natalo nga kami last year, but that was because our opponent was playing dirty. This time, we will make sure that that won't happen again.

I looked at Faith again and saw her looking at me with understanding. Of course, she knew about it, she was also the journalist who wrote about it in our school's newspaper and website.

She wrote it knowing she can get in trouble.

"I mean, I don't wanna say things that might get our people to get disappointed, but I want them to know that no matter what happens tomorrow, we will do our best to win back the trophy."

She smiled again as she hands out her hand in front of her. "Thank you for your time."

I took it and shook her hand. "No problem, anytime."

She nodded and sighed as she looked around. "Now, nasaan na si Abo?"

Lumingon ako sa paligid as my eyes start scanning to find Ash. Ashley was one of them, Naka hook ang arm nya sa braso ni Ash.

"He's right there," I said as I pointed out where he was. I looked back at her, and for a minute, I saw a flicker of.. sadness? on her face, pero bigla na lang napalitan ng pilit na ngiti.

"Iba talaga pag MVP" Sabi nya as she gave a little laugh, which was kind of forced to me.

I studied her carefully.
