Ace's POVs

The bell rang, indicating na lunch na. Out of the corner of my eye, nakita ko si Phoebe tumayo at dala ang bag nya. My eyes trailed her every movement until she's out of the room and out of my sight.

Fiance.

She's engaged, and she never mentioned it. Not even once narinig ko sa kanya na may boyfriend sya, let alone a fiance. She's getting married, at ang saklap pa ay this week na magaganap. It can't be right.

She's lying. I know it.

"Faith," I called, turning my head kung saan naka upo si Faith, talking to Ash quietly.

Faith and Ash looked at my direction, a look of startle on their faces like they got caught doing something illegal. It was gone before I could even think about it

"Yeah?" biglang tanong ni Faith, turning her body to face me. Ash gave a deep sigh bago sya bumalik sa upuan nya, his face looks troubled.

I'll have to ask him about it later.

Taking my attention away from Ash, I looked back at Faith. "Did you know about Phoebe's engagement?"

Her face changed before massaging her forehead. "Hindi, she never mentioned it to me before," she answered, before whispering. "Not that I'm surprised."

I tilted my head, furrowing my eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

She sighed, looking at me directly sa mga mata. "Alam nya siguro na may gagawin ako tungkol doon or something, you know, anything to stop the wedding."

"Who's the douchebag anyway?" Hunter asked an irritation sa tone nya.

"I've never met him," Faith murmured. "Ang kilala ko lang yung uncle nya. Yun lang naman ang family nya daw."

"She doesn't have any other family?"

Faith shook her head. "Wala syang kilala sa father side nya. Yung uncle nya lang sa mother side" Her eyes lit up as if she remembers something. "She did mention a cousin before... kaso hindi ko pa na meet yung cousin na iyon."

Phoebe did only mention an uncle and cousin nung nag kwento sya, but other than that, wala na syang ibang family member na na banggit.

"It's random na bigla na lang mag papakasal si Phoebe," Hawke muttered. "I mean, hindi pa nga sya nakakapagtapos ng pag aaral."

"I know," Faith agreed in a low voice. "It's not so her."

"True," Galen said, standing on his feet. "Phoebe likes studying."

Faith and I nodded in agreement unconsciously.

"Something must have happened," I whispered, getting up on my feet as well. "I need to find out."

"Bro," Ash called, speaking up for the first time. He stood near me before squeezing my shoulder. "The group is right behind you if you need anything. Tawagin mo lang kami, we'll help you no matter what."

"I know, thanks, bro."

"Anytime, what are friends for, hindi ba?" he tilted his head towards the door. "besides, Phoebe is also one of us now."

I turned to look behind me, and they all give me a look of encouragement. I smiled, feeling a bit better to know that my friends are here, supporting and encouraging me. I nod at each one of them before I started walking.

Now, all I need to do is make Phoebe realize that having more than one friend is not bad, especially kung sila ang mga taong you can consider as real friends. Friends where you can say all your problems without worrying if they will judge you or not. Mga kaibigan na laging nandyan para sayo, heaven or hell. Friends that are worth keeping
