Ace's POV'S
It was dreadful, the nightmare of my life.
Seeing Phoebe like that, I shook my head to erase my thought. If I was even a minute late, Phoebe wouldn't make it.
"Kuya," Ally called. I turned my head, and my gaze found her. Nakatayo sya sa pinto katabi si Hunter.
They walked towards on the other side of the bed kung saan nakahiga si Phoebe, unconscious. They both studied her for a moment before looking at me with questions in their eyes.
I shook my head, holding Phoebe's hand, I planted a kiss on the back of her hand before caressing it gently. Alam ko na kung anong tinatanong nila, kahit hindi sila magsalita, alam ko na. It had been a week since that incident happen. A week since Phoebe had been in a coma. A week of torture life for me.
"Kuya, you should rest." Ally suggested, sitting down on the vacant chair. "Kami ni Hunter ang mag babantay muna. You should go home and sleep."
I shook my head, not even bothering to hear the rest of what she has to say. "I'm not doing that. Phoebe needs me."
"But you've been here since day one, kailangan mo rin mag pahinga."
"I'm okay."
"You're clearly not okay."
"This is not up for a discussion, Al."
"Help me," Ally whispered to Hunter, nudging him sa side nya. Hunter looked at her in disbelief before rubbing his side.
"Hey, man," Hunter started after Ally gave her some kind of look.
I raised my eyebrow at him and gave him one of my looks. His mouth hung open, clearly doesn't know what to do. He cleared his throat before forcing a smile.
"Maybe just get some fresh air to clear your mind." He said, pointing at Phoebe using his head. "I know ayaw mong pag alalahanin si Phoebe pag gising nya. We will be here, don't worry."
My eyes found Phoebe's face. She looked peaceful as she sleeps. Bumalik na ang kanyang kulay compare noong nakita ko sya sa bahay nila, she was beaten up pretty bad. Her was skin was pale, so pale that I thought there was no blood left in her system. Her head was covered with blood, there were red marks on her wrist, and her shirt was torn open, making her ribs visible from my sight, which was swollen and red.
I had never been scared in my whole life. Seeing her cousin beat her up, boiled my blood. I wish I could have beat that guy the way he beat up Phebs. If only the police didn't come sooner, I would have given him more the taste of his medicine.
I slowly and gently put down Phoebe's hand back on the bed before getting up and slowly make my way down where the door was. I stopped and looked back, taking a quick look sa kanya bago ako umalis, afraid that If I look ng matagal, I might change my mind.
My feet lead me sa labas ng hospital, I looked around me and found a bench and headed there as soon as I got out of the sliding doors. I sat up with a heavy sigh, closing my eyes as I inhaled through my nose and let the air exit sa mouth ko. When is she going to wake up? Pheobe, don't leave me behind.
"You okay?"
My eyes sprung open and found Ryan sitting beside me, nakatingin sa mga taong pumapasok at lumalabas sa hospital.
"I will be once she wakes up," I answered quietly, silently hoping na gumising na si Phoebe to end my misery.
"She will," he said in a confident tone. "She's a strong lad, I heard."
I nodded in agreement. "She is, indeed."
We were quiet for a while, just studying our surroundings until Ryan spoke up again.
