Ace's POV'S
"Mag iingat ka, anak," mom said with concern sa tone nya.
I adjusted my phone sa tenga ko bago ako sumagot. "Don't worry, mom. It's only a couple of hours away. I'll be fine."
"What do you mean a couple of hours?" Mom asked. "With this traffic nowadays, baka makapunta kapa doon bukas."
"You're exaggerating, mom"
"Ah, basta. Mag iingat ka sa pag drive mo. Kailangan ko na umalis, may meeting pa kami ng dad mong kailangan puntahan."
"Okay. Take care"
"Love you."
"Love you too, mom," I said before hanging up and tossing my phone sa bed.
I quickly went to my closet and grabbed a couple of hoodies, jogging pants and everything else I needed for a couple of days, putting all of them inside of my duffle bag.
"I think I got everything I need," I murmured, closing my bag before heading out of my room.
Taking down the stairs, I went straight to the kitchen, finding Ally with a video camera focused on her face.
"What are you doing?" I asked as I grabbed an apple and took a bite.
"Vlog," she answered, not even glancing at me. "I'm filming right now."
"Well," I walked towards her and joyfully ruffled her hair. "I'm leaving. See you in a couple of days."
"Kuya!" she yelled. "Not my hair."
I chuckled before walking away from her and towards the door. "Love you!"
"Hate you too!" she yelled from the kitchen. "So, that was my ever so annoying brother, by the way. For those of you who don't know."
I shook my head, closing the door behind me. I walked towards my car and opened the back seat before throwing my duffle bag inside and closing it.
"Ace"
My head turned and found Nana walking towards me.
"Bibisitahin mo ba ang kaibigan mo?" she asked as soon as she reached me.
"Yes, po."
"Every year hindi mo talaga sya nakakalimutan bisitahin."
"It's the least I could do as her friend."
She nodded understandingly. "Oh, sige na at baka gabihin ka pa sa daan. Pinag baunan kita ng pagkain at baka makalimutan mo na naman kumain."
I smiled. Nana always making sure na may dala akong pagkain pag every time akong bumibusita.
"Thanks, Na. You're the best," I said, taking the bag from her before hugging her.
She patted my back warmly, an affection she always does. "Mag iingat sa daan."
"Yes, po," I answered, stepping back.
"Umuwi na pag gabi, maraming mga tao ngayon walang magawa sa buhay."
"I'll keep that in mind."
I placed the bag in my passenger seat before walking around sa driver seat. I waved goodbye kay Nana bago ako pumasok sa sasakyan ko. I started the engine and pulled out sa driveway, turning on the radio for music as I did.
As I drove along the highway, bigla ko na lang naalala kung anong sinabi sa akin ng kapatid ko pagkatapos kong ihatid si Phoebe sa bahay nya.
