Liam's POV
The bell rings, and that means the first day of school is over and done with. I rush over to the Biology class and waited out the door until Sophia walks through the door. A smile lights on both of our faces.
"Hi, sweetie," she says, standing in front of me. I grab her waist and pull her close to me. I lean in and connect our lips together. My stomach ached a little, but I brushed it off.
She parts our lips and giggles, "What was that for?"
"Just a daily reminder of how much you mean to me," I answer.
Sophia blushed. "You're so cute. Now, you are picking me up after you're done getting ready, right?" I nod my head. Her fingers trace my lips. Her voice spoke softly, "I'm sorry I can't help, but what can a girl do? I have to treat me right first. You understand?"
I nod my head. "Of course. But why can't you just come home with me?"
She scoffs. "Excuse me. I am a girl. Do you know how bad it looks if I just come over? Your parents are going to think I'm a slut."
"It's a different generation," I respond.
"I know, baby," her voice softens even more. "But please respect that."
I nod my head. "You want me to take you home?"
"Of course," she answers. She tugs on the straps of my backpack.
I push her back a little, getting uncomfortable, and hold her hand. Our fingers intertwine. I lead her to the parking lot. As we pass several cars, I wave at Louis, Niall, and Harry.
"Hey, Liam," Louis shouted. "That's a fine woman you got beside you."
"Thanks, mate," I reply. The three of them chuckle. "See you guys tonight."
"See you," Harry replies.
I look at Sophia and find her blushing. Her shyness was cute. We walk a few more feet until we reach my car. I open the door for her, and without saying anything, she steps inside. I rush to the other and sat behind the wheels. I inject the key and turn on the engine.
I turn on the radio, and country music plays on. I cringe a little. I have nothing against country music, but Sophia likes it. So, I put it on for her. And she doesn't really listen to anything else, so I can't really display my kind of music.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I miss jamming to music with Ally. A random song would come on, and Ally would always find a way to make me smile. Either it was full blown rapping or just one of her many accents on a song. And her cute chuckle afterwards. I couldn't help but smile at those fun memories.
"Liam," Sophia raises her voice.
"Hmm?" I question.
"Are you going to go or what?" She asks.
I look ahead and see we were still in the parking lot. "Oh, right," I respond.
I snap out of my trance and shift the gear into reverse. I back out of the lane and drive out of the lot.
Within ten minutes, I parked in her driveway. Sophia sets her hand on my shoulder and leans in. She pecks me on the cheek and says, "Thank you. I'll see you in a bit."
"Goodbye," I reply.
She unbuckles her seatbelt and leaves the car. I waited until she enters her house before I backed out of her driveway and into the main street. My house wasn't far from hers. I lived down the block.
As I pull into my driveway, I recognize a car none other than Ally's. I helped her picked it out the day she got it because she was indecisive.
I exit the car and lock it. Before I walk inside, I hear giggles from a far distance. I follow the noise, and it led me to the backyard. The giggles came from Ally. And a beautiful sight it was. She, squat down, was playing with Watson by his doghouse. She wiggles one of his favorite treats in front of him, and he chased after it. After a while, he snatched it from her hand and chews it. Ally rubs his fur softly.
