It's finally time to post this chapter, and it's one of my favorites overall, especially Part II. I will be posting Part II some days later, but enjoy reading Part I for now. Also, let me know what you think of this chapter or the story so far.
My curled hair bounced on my cheek as Mabel unravel it from curling iron. I look at myself in the mirror and felt satisfied. I was happy. Mabel and Lizzie did an amazing job. "You look beautiful," Lizzie says.
I turn to look at her and smile, "Thanks you guys so much for helping me get ready."
"You look beautiful everyday," Lizzie says.
"That's so sweet of you to say," I coo.
"Liam is in for a treat," Mabel comments, and I blush.
I stand up from my seat and walk around with my white dress. I looked well. I walk out with a smile and enter the hallway. I walk to the stairs, and I see Liam standing at the bottom of the stairs, staring at me. His jaw drops a little before he closes it with a smile rising on his lips.
I walk down the stairs, feeling like a princess. My eyes were only on him, distracting me. I misstep the last step and fell over, but Liam thrusts his hand and catches my arms. I look at him and blush harder. The crinkles in his eyes appear.
"Sorry," I said.
"No, it was an honor to catch my precious," he says, and I couldn't help but feel my cheeks burning. "You look beautiful."
I look at his white button down shirt and black blazer. "You look more dashing than usual."
I stand on the bottom step, and he offers his elbow. "Ready, m'lady?" He asks.
I cross my arm around his, and we walk out of the house. He leads us to his car. I step inside and buckle up. He rushes to the other side and sits behind the wheels. He turns on the engine and drives off into the main street. I look out the window and see my surroundings moving in motion.
The radio fills my ear. My fingers tap along to the beat. Soon, I was singing to the song. Liam joins me, and we share an exchange of looks before we sing along together. He took the lower notes while I belt the higher notes, and we harmonize perfectly. I was getting deja vu from our singing. It felt like we were back in high school again.
In a couple of minutes, we arrive in the park for our picnic date. There was a beach nearby, and I can hear the seagulls flapping their wings. Everything was beautiful. The ocean sizzled and whooshed through it.
Liam grabs the basket and leads me to a little private area encompassed by bushes. Liam lays the blanket on the ground and sets the picnic basket on it. "This is a good place because there is no bugs, so no interruptions. I want this day to be perfectly peaceful and smooth."
"I am looking forward to this day more and more," I said.
He smiles and takes a seat on near the entrance. I sit beside him, and he begins to unravel the basket. First, he got out the plates, setting them down in front of us. We laid out the spoons and forks on our plates. The napkins were set off to the side. Then he sets aside some glasses, and "ooh" at them before he brought out the wine.
"Fancy," I comment.
He smiles a little and asks, "What do you want to eat first. I got sandwiches, pasta, and some fruits."
"I can eat whatever," I said.
He nods his head and pulls out the box of pasta. He opens the container and takes his fork and scoops a good amount onto his plate and onto my plate. He places the box back in the basket, and in the process, he accidentally knocks the glasses onto one of the plates fill with pasta. I chuckle as he groans.
