I walk back and forth in my room, waiting for the phone call. A couple of days ago was the final audition, and they told me they were going to call me back. I've been going to several auditions the entire month of March, and it's crazy that it is in the middle of April now.

Many days have gone by. Throughout, I have seen Liam losing his temper a couple of times, but it wasn't nothing major. Liam just began to become angry when he doesn't get his way, rather that be food ordering or negotiating a price.

It was hard to balance that out between that and my auditions, but I made it through. My fingertips were freezing up. Butterflies grow in my stomach more and more. I wet my lips, listening to my breathing.

"Ally, you're going to do great," Jade says. She rested on my bed, watching me silently breaking down. "You're going to get the part, and you're going to be great at it. Don't worry."

I shake my head. "Thanks, Jade, for your support, but I am so nervous. I don't know how I'm going to be like if I don't get it." I gasp, realizing it. "I'm not going to get it. They're probably on the phone with the person who did, and they are talking for a long time. I can't handle the pressure."

"Ally, take in a deep breath," Jade says. I nod my head and consume the air. "Take a seat." I sat down beside her. "And relax."

I close my eyes, and suddenly, my phone goes off. I flinch and look at my phone in Jade's hand. I breathe out softly. Jade hands me my phone. "This is it. I wish you the best," she says, standing up. She walks out to give me some privacy.

I answer the call and set the phone against my ear. I greet, "Hello?"

"Hi, Allyson, it's Margaret," she greets. "I would like to congratulate you on getting the role of Penelope." My heart skips a beat, and I smile. "We will send you your script, and you shall receive it in a couple of days. Be here on set next week on Monday at 12:00 pm. Do you have any questions?"

"No," I answer. "Thank you so much for calling."

She chuckles. "We'd hope you didn't get tired of waiting. See you later."

"See you," I reply.

I hear a beep, and I set my phone down. Butterflies erupted in my stomach. My hands shake, and my legs fell numb. This feels unreal. I'm not dreaming, am I?

I steady my breath, feeling more excited by the second. I can finally tell him. For an entire month, I've been telling him to wait and stay patient. Just in case I didn't get the role. But now that I did, I can't wait to see his reaction.

"Knock, knock," Liam says as he knocks on the door.

I shift my eyes on him and see him smiling a little. I stand up on the floor and run to him. He spoke, "Are you ready—" I grab his neck and cut him off with a single kiss.

His left hand finds my cheek, and he caresses my skin softly. We move our lips in sync. I let out all the jitters as our kiss deepens with every moan that came out of our mouths.

He shakes his head and slowly snaps out of it. He parts our lips, wrapping his arms around my waist now. He pants, "Wait. What was that for?"

"You know that thing I haven't been telling you about," I begin. "The reason why I couldn't tell you why I had to be out of the house so many times. Well, today, just before you came, I got a phone call. And I got it. I got a role in a musical."

His eyes shot up, expressing something I hoped he wouldn't show. He looked more upset than happy. He stares at me for a while until I raise my voice, "You are happy, right?"
