Ally's POV

My eyes flutter and cringe at the brightness in the room. Who opened the curtains to my room? I moan a little, noticing my alarm wasn't the thing that woke me up. I lift my head and reach over to the alarm clock. I lift it up and read the time displayed on it: 7:45.

Oh, shoot!

Fifteen minutes to get ready. Oh, dang. Okay, okay, Ally, don't panic.

I uncover the sheets and shift my feet onto the floor. I stand up, and before I knew, I accidentally stepped on someone's arm on the ground. I flinch and lower my eyes, and they shot up once I saw Liam groaning. He slept on the floor. He rolled over to his back as his eyes open. I was the first thing that he saw.

I cover my mouth and shake my head. "I'm so so sorry," I begin. "Liam, I did not see you."

He scratches his head as he sits up. "You're alright," his voice was hoarse. He rubs his eyes and looks at my alarm clock. His brows shot up like mine once he read the time. "Oh, we have to hurry."

"You can use my bathroom first," I offer.

"You can," he says. "I can use the one out side of your room."

"Okay," I said. We part, and I enter the bathroom. I smack my head gently. Ally, why didn't see you him before you stepped on him? You should've looked.

I shake my head and proceeded. I turn on the faucet and wash my face. Once I brush my teeth and get out of my alcohol-scented clothes, I walk out of the bathroom, sporting a new look. I swing my handbag on and exit the room. I meet Liam in the middle of hallway. He seems more alive than he was before.

He scratches the back of his neck, nervous, "Um, do you mind taking me to my house?" He asks.

"I don't mind at all," I answer. "We can go right now."

He nods his head. We walk down the stairs, and I kind of feel a little tipsy. But I try to remain balance. We enter the kitchen, and I see my mom leaning over her bowl of cereal. I touch her shoulder as I walk by, "Mom, be careful."

She chuckles and pinches my cheeks. "Mija, I'll be alright. Leaning over doesn't hurt me one little bit."

"But, momma," I croaked. "I love you."

"Love you too," she replies. She kisses me on the cheek. "Have a nice school day."

"Alright," I said.

She releases me, and I release her shoulder. She turns to look at Liam. "Take good care of her," she says.

Liam smiles and scratches the back of his neck once more. But this time, he was more nervous about something. The two of us exit the house without another word. As soon as the wind hits me, I feel myself losing balance. I tip over and reach for the nearest object, which was the door. Liam stops and turns around. "Ally?" He says. He runs to me and holds my arm. "Are you alright?"

I nod my head. "Yes, I guess last night's drinking really knock the air out of me."

"You want to go to school still?" He asks.

I nod my head. "Yes. It's okay. I can make it."

"Well, let me drive then," he says, "just in case something happens."

I unzip my handbag and hand him the keys. He takes it and grasps it. With his other hand on my arm, he leads me to the passenger seat. I sit down and buckled up. He walks to the other side and settles behind the wheels. He turns on the engine and, soon, backs out of the driveway.

As he drives, I couldn't help but think about what happened last night. Everything was blurry after I chug the second cup of alcohol down my throat. I coughed as it burned my throat. I didn't even know why I drank. I remember feeling upset and angry. And then a flash of Liam and Sophia struck before my eyes. Everything was coming back to why I was drinking, but I don't remember what happened after the second cup.
