Five hours in the car. Liam and I did a carpool. We take turns driving. I led the direction because he has never gone through this particular route before. I've driven here by myself a couple of times to see Camila, Normani, Dinah, and Lauren. We made three stops. Two to eat, and one just for the bathroom. It seems like it's been a long day.

I let out a yawn and look out the window and see the beautiful city and its buildings. We pass tall building, short ones, small ones, and many more. Liam turns the steering wheel and drives alongside a hotel. He parks in the lot and turns off the engine.

I unbuckle my seatbelt, and the two of us got out of the vehicle. We grab our suitcases in the backseat and stroll them into the building. Liam and I stood in front of the counter as the lady behind it greets us with a smile, "Hello."

"We would like a room," Liam answers.

The lady nods her head and looks at her computer. She types something in and ask, "One bedroom or two?"

I look at Liam and see a small smile. He opens his mouth and answers, "Tw—"

"One," I blurt. Liam looks at me, astounded with a small smirk. I didn't know whether he was teasing me or he actually wanted two bedroom, but I didn't want to take any chances.

"How long are you guys staying?" The lady asks.

Liam and I exchange a look, and within our gazes, we came up with an answer. Liam replies to the question, "Five."

She types something and nods her head. "Okay, you guys will be on the third floor in room 3K." She hands us the key, and Liam takes it.

"Thank you," I said.

We stroll our suitcases to the elevator and rode up. After, we roam together until we found '3K' on the door. Liam unlocks the door and lets me enter first. I thank him and walk through the door. I instantly feel the cold air hit my skin, and I shiver.

Liam closes the door behind us and sets his suitcase beside the nightstand. I see the curtain covering the windows, and I walk to it. I pull the curtains to the side and let the sunset's light shine. I look at the city and see the most glorious view I could ever imagine. The city was at a shade of orange with a hint of red and yellow. Cars were passing by one another. It looked like a perfect picture that I just had to sink in to the moment.

However, my smile begins to fade as the thought of my dad appear in my mind. I couldn't help but think the worse if I hadn't come. I miss him so much. I don't want him to leave me like my mom. He's the only one I have left.

I flinch, feeling Liam's arms wrapped around me. His touch soothes my thought. My worries were gone, and he snuggles his head on my shoulder. "Are you thinking about you dad?"

I nod my head. "I miss him so much. I haven't spoken to him since August. Time has kept us busy."

"You want to see him?" He asks. I nod my head. "Let's go then. I want to meet your father again. I haven't seen in about five years now."

"We can," I said. "You want to unpack first?"

"Sure," he says. He releases me, and we begin to do just that.

I walk before Liam in the hallway of the hospital, racing on my feet. My dad's room was somewhere. I look at each room number and felt frustrated when it was taking me a long time to just find him. His surgery will be later today, and I just have to speak to him before he goes. If or when.

I stop in my tracks, seeing the room number on the door. I rush through the door, and I saw him watching tv, sitting in his elevated bed at an angle.

"Hi," I spoke softly.

He turns his head, and his eyes widen, and a smile emerges. "Ally," he says. I run to him, wrapping my arms around him. "I missed my little angel so much. How has she been doing?" I sniff the air and pull back.
