I pace back and forth in the kitchen, holding the letter in my hand. Liam is going to be here in three minutes, and I'm still not calming down. I take in deep breaths and trace my finger around the edges of the letter.

I didn't know how I should do this. Do I just give him the letter and make him read it first? Or should I just say it? Or would that freak him out? It might freak him out.

How should I begin? Maybe I should let him speak first and then I can go from there. Yeah, I should just do that.

I flip the letter back and forth as my hands shake. My legs did as well. I pull out a seat and sit down, tossing the letter onto the table to not mess with. I lean against my seat and look at the clock in the kitchen: 7:00. I straighten my posture and fluff my hair a little. He should be here any second now.

I waited until the clock change to one minute. I hear a knocking at the door, and a smile appear on my face. I stand up and walk to the entrance. A thunder clap, and I flinch. The sound of rain became audible as I came closer. I unlock the door and open it. Liam stood out in the rain. His shirt drenched in rain, and his hair looked as if he just got out of the shower. A smile was plastered on his face.

I open my mouth to greet, but instead, I squeal at the sound of thunder clapping my eardrums. I cover my ears, hearing the sky roar again. Liam pulled me into an embrace, wrapping one of his hands over my ear. His other hand rubs my arm soothingly. My heart flutters, feeling his warmth.

His soft chuckle made my stomach queasy. "I have some news to tell you, but first, let's get inside," he says.

I nod my head, and we pull apart. I walk into the kitchen as he closes the door. He enters the kitchen, running his fingers through his damp hair.

"I'll get you a towel," I said. I run upstairs and grab a new towel from my room and head back down. He stood by the dining table, messing with his hair. I bit my bottom lip as I approach him. Once I reach him, I hand him the towel.

"Thanks," he says. He begins to dry his hair. His eyes catch the letter on the table. My heart raced faster. I snatch the letter from the letter. "What is that?"

I lower my eyes and swallow. "It's a letter, but don't worry about it. Now, what is your news?"

A smile lights up on his face. He rests the towel on his shoulder and takes a step closer. He holds my arm and looks into my eyes. "I think it's better if we sit down."

I nod my head. We pull up a seat, and I set the letter on the table beside me. He seems anxious by the way he kept moving in his seat. He rubs his hands together and exhales slowly. "I've been feeling weird lately, and I didn't know what was wrong with me. I couldn't sleep nor eat right for the past couple of days, and I believe it's because of this one thing that I have no control over. I realized that I was falling for someone." My eyes shot up a little. I feel my breath heavy.

"Just the way she makes me feel, it's different from everyone else," he says. "I talk to the guys about it." I lower my eyes, feeling a sadness inside of me. It hurt to hear him say that he went to somebody else before me. "They told to come tell you because you were the one person I was the most nervous to talk to."

I lift my eyes, feeling a little of hope. Hope that maybe it was me that he might be talking about. And I know that I might be misreading the signs. I would rather be wrong than right, right now.

"I didn't know how you are going to react, considering this is one of the very first times I had strong feelings for someone. What should I do?" He asks.

I sigh and swallow once more. "Does this person know that you like them? And do they feel the same?"

He shrugs. "I don't know. From the time we spent together, she just makes my heart race. But I hope she does. But we can't really happen. It's forbidden." I coo a little.
