Sorry I keep posting randomly. I've just been going through a lot with my emotions. It's always on and off, but I have more in store.
Warning: this chapter is definitely more violent physically between Liam and Ally. One can say it's explicit but not in the sexual way.
Ally's POV
Will yelps as I put some ointment on his bloody lips. "Sorry," I said.
"You're good," he says, still looking at me.
I find his stare to be a little uncomfortable, and he kept scooting closer to me. After I was done, I put the cap back on and toss the ointment in the first aid kit on the dining table. Before I could stand up, Will calls out, "Wait."
I remain seated and look at him. "What is it?" I ask.
"I want to talk to you," he replies. "It's about Liam."
I consume the air and respond, "Will, if it's about what happened, I'll talk to him about it."
"No," he shakes his head. "How long are you going to stay with him? Your dad misses you, and you don't visit. When are you going to come home?"
"Things are complicated here already," I said. "I have something else that I haven't told Liam about. For me, going home is not an option at the moment."
"Why not?" he questions. I lower my eyes, not sure if he could handle the truth. "Ally, I know where I stand with you, but I miss you, and after Liam's son is back with his mom, you can come home and leave this place once and for all. Leave him."
"I can't," I said.
He raises a brow. "Haven't you seen how abusive he is? He punched me because he disagreed with me," he explains, but I shake my head.
"No, Will. You made him upset, and I've seen what he does when he's upset," I rebuttal.
"And that doesn't scare you?" He asks.
"No, because I trust he wouldn't harm or do anything to me," I said. "When you love someone, you have to trust."
"Wait," he creases his brows, "you love him?"
I nod my head. "I do," I reply.
"But he broke your heart. He got married, and he has a son," he points out.
"He didn't get married," I tell him. "And yes, he did broke my heart and he does have a son, but things change. He healed me, and his son and I are practically best friends."
Will nods his head, giving up. "If you love him and everything is fine, then I have no use anymore. I am done persuading you to come, and I am not going to hurt myself more by leading myself on. I like you, Ally, but you love him. Only a few people are lucky to return to the person they love. I won't get in your way anymore."
"Thank you," I said. I give him a hug, and he hugs back. "You deserve someone who makes you as happy as Liam makes me."
He nods his head, and soon, we pull apart. "I'm going to go check on Liam," I said. I stand up and and exit the dining room.
I walk up to the stairs and knock on his door, but I receive nothing. I waited a few more seconds before I knock again. Once he did not open, I knew he wasn't in the room. I trot downstairs and enter the living room, but he wasn't there. His newspaper was where he left it. I check the kitchen, the storage room, and the bathroom until I finally check in the backyard, and I saw him standing by the fence with his back facing me.
I open the door and shut it behind me. As I approach him, I notice a puff of smoke was roaming away from him as if he was...smoking.
I hold onto his shoulder and turn him to face me. In his hand held a burnout cigarette. He looked at me, releasing another puff of smoke. His eyes lacked nothing but anger, and I took a step back.
