We were all gathered around the dinner table. The turkey was torn into pieces that were soon devoured with the mash potatoes, gravy with bacon bits, and turkey stuffings.

Around nine, someone brought some beer, and I knew I needed some. After finding out Troy was ready to take our relationship to the next level and my re-finding love for Liam, I drank cans after cans. Dinah wanted to stop me, but I was too crazy (that's what she kept telling me) for her to do anything.

And I know Liam drank as much as me, or maybe more because we both made a stack. I press my finger on each can on my stack and counted slowly. My mind was fuzzy at this point. "One...Two...Three..." I continue on until I hit the number six. I drank six cans. I jump up in excitement, spilling the can in my hand. "I have seven cans. I drank seven, and I'm still functional."

Liam applauded me, and I bow to him. Dinah rolls her eyes while Louis and Troy just look a tad bit angry. I walk around the table to my boyfriend and wrap my arm around him. He drank a couple as well, but maybe not as much as me because he's still sober. I touch his face. "You are so cute," I said. "No one deserves you. You are, my love."

Troy looks at me and creases his brows. "Ally, I think you've had way too much to drink," he says. He reaches over and tries to grab the can out of my hand, but I back away, causing him to lose his grip on my can.

"Guys, let's dance," I hear the music going through my ear.

"Ally, you're so off," Dinah says.

I look over and see Liam's head resting against the table. I walk over to him, setting my can down in front of him, and poke his back lightly a couple of times; but he didn't rise up. I set my hands on his arms and lean close enough to where my cheek felt his hair. I speak in his ear, "Liam, wake up. You're kind of ruining the party. No one wants a sleeper."

Liam rises his head and groans. He rubs his eyes. "Too much," he says, groggily.

I rest my arm on his shoulder while the other arm went under his other arm. I set my hand on his shoulder and give him a light hug on his chest. "Come on," I said. "It's no fun without you."

He nods his head with his eyes still closed. "I'll be there in a second," he says.

I nod my head. I broke the embrace and look over the table. Louis, Dinah, and Troy disappeared. I point at the table. "Hey," I begin, "Where did they all go?"

I look at Liam, who opened his eyes. "Running from you because you are crazy," he chuckles.

I scoff and nudge him on the arm but miss and hit the table. He laughs at me, and I nudge him once more and hit him on the chest. He grabs my wrist and pulls me close to him, scooting his chair back and us. I bat my eyes, realizing how close we were. A smirk appeared on Liam's lips. I can smell the alcohol in his breath, but it didn't bother me. I lift my eyes and look through his. The color of his blue eyes got me in a trance. I could just look at them forever. My heart begins to race, seeing that I was this close to him. Our nose could touch at the slightest movement.

I swallowed hard. I feel him leaning forward, and my heart drops, remembering the words he spoke every time. That one word that cuts us off from being everything but. That word: friend. I hate that word when he uses it on me.

I push myself off, and he blinks a couple of times. I can see in his eyes the confusion we caused. Before he or I can process what happened, I pulled his arm and force him to get up. "Come on, let's go find the others. It's more fun with a group."

"I rather be here with you," he says.

I blush, but no one could tell from the alcohol. I laugh nervously, "You're so sweet. I can't believe I have a friend like you."
