"We need to talk about this, Gray!" I said as I saw Grayson storming out of his room. After our fight earlier today he had hid himself in his room. I should get ready for the business party with my boss, but I couldn't leave Grayson like this, not now. I watched as Grayson froze completely, as he turned his head slowly towards me. I saw how red his eyes were from crying.

"There's nothing to talk about." Grayson said stone cold before he turned back and slowly walked away. I didn't listen to him, instead I ran after him and slowly grabbed his shoulders. Seeing Grayson like this broke my heart. I could feel his muscles tighten as I rested my hands on his shoulders. "Let go..." Grayson mumbled as he slightly moved his head so he could see me through the corner of his eyes.

"I won't... I never have..." I said as I referred to how I still haven't let him and Ethan go. They were my best friends, my soulmates. They were the only ones who understood me, and never judged me back in the days. Grayson slowly turned around and I saw how he clenched his jaw, probably to hold himself together.

"I'm... I can't be saved, Delilah." Grayson said as he softly grabbed my hands and moved them away from his shoulders, so they fell down, resting besides my body.

"No... I don't believe that. I know my Grayson is in there. The Grayson who loved spending time with me. Don't leave me like this..." I said as I could feel how the tears formed in my eyes. Grayson stared deeply in my eyes, and I could feel the tears burn. We stood there, frozen for probably a couple of minutes before I hear my phone ring. I was pulled back to reality and I quickly grabbed my phone. It was mr. Taylor again. "Good afternoon, mr. Taylor." I said as I picked up the call.

A few minutes later I hung up and let out a deep sigh. "What was that about?" Grayson asked as I saw how his face was filled with worry and curiosity. I slowly looked back into his eyes as I ran a hand through my hair.

"That was my boss, we have a business party in an hour." I said as my face dropped. I had to leave Grayson and Ethan behind, in this state. I know it was only for a couple of hours but, a lot can happen in that time...

"Go get ready then, I don't want to ruin your job." Grayson said as he gave me a patch on my shoulder. I frowned at him as he acted strange. "Ask Cameron to help you with your makeup, I don't want anyone to see something is wrong with you." Grayson said before he slowly walked away. He stopped for a minute and turned back to me. I stood there completely frozen, unable to say something. Grayson planted a kiss on my forehead before he walked away for real this time. I let out another deep sigh as I watched him disappear from my view.

Some while later.

I was ready, ready for tonight's party. Well, business party. I just had to be an assistant for tonight and lay my problems away. Leave them here at home...

Cameron helped me with my makeup, as I followed Grayson's advice to ask her. She made me look stunning, and made my makeup match with my dress. Cam chose a red dress with small diamonds, that were fake of course. It was my golden dream to be like a princess, but I either save that for my wedding or I gotta get rich instantly. There was a slight cut on the side of the dress, so you could see my legs when I was walking.

I could hear the car of my boss driving up the ground of E's and Gray's house. I immediately turned towards Cam as nervousness overwhelmed me. I'd never been to some kind of business party before and I was afraid I was overdressing myself.

"You got this, girl." Cam said as she slowly pushed me towards the stairs. I laughed at her as I made my way downstairs as I heard the doorbell ring.

"That's for me!" I yelled immediately before one of the twins opened up. But I guess it was already too late since I heard a conversation outside. As I was downstairs I saw a blond figure behind Ethan, I couldn't really see who it was since Ethan was facing his back towards my while he was talking with the person. I slowly walked forward, which was hard since these high heels were already killing me.

"Quinn?" I asked in disbelief as I saw Quinn talking with Ethan as I came closer. I gasped for air when our eyes met. My best friend was here, she was here!

"Li!" She screamed immediately as she saw me. She ran up to me and hugged me instantly. I laughed at her as we held each other tightly.

"We don't have all day, ladies. We got important people waiting for us." I heard mr. Taylor say from outside. Quinn and I pulled away from the hug as mr. Taylor spoke to us.

"What's this?" I heard Grayson say from behind me. I turned around to face him and my smile faded immediately. The confrontation of leaving him here alone hits me now.

"I... I told you about my business party. Apparently Quinn came as well." I said as I explained why he must have heard our screams.

"Delilah Scott! If you want to have fun tonight we have got to go!" Mr. Taylor joked as I could hear him laugh. He was in a good mood today.

"Coming!" Quinn and I immediately yelled as we tried to run towards the car on our heels. I could feel Grayson's eyes burn on me as I hugged mr. Taylor as a greeting.

"You look stunning, as always, mrs. Scott." Mr. Taylor said in a charming way as he opened the car door for me.

"You don't look bad yourself too, mr. Taylor." I said in a charming way back as I took one last glance to... to those empty souls that used to be my best friends. From their faces I could see they didn't like what was going on, but what did they expect? That I'd hide away forever until they came back to me? I got into the car and mr. Taylor slowly shut the door for me. I could see no emotion on either Grayson's nor Ethan's face. I let out a deep sigh as mr. Taylor got into the car and we slowly drove away.

"Do they look out for you?" Mr. Taylor asked while he was focussing on the road. "Quinn told me a bit about them, but I have my doubts about those guys." Mr. Taylor continues and I just stared at him.

"I-I... don't know..." I answered in deep honesty and I saw Quinn looking at me from the mirror between me and mr. Taylor. I quickly looked away as I wanted to forget about all my problems tonight.
