Delilah
"We still have an hour before they land," I said to Quinn. We were standing in the kitchen, enjoying our late lunch and figuring out how to convince Kyle to let Ethan, Grayson and Louis stay here. I took a sip from my coffee as I was cracking my brains for good arguments.
"How about I go to Kyle and you go to the airport? You can make it in time with the Tesla," Quinn said. I immediately looked to the bowl where we throw our keys in. Kyle was practically married to his Tesla, but luckily for me he had two. I bit my lip as my thoughts drifted away to the time where we were still in school and dreaming for the life we lived today. I snapped out of my thoughts and grabbed the car keys for the Tesla.
"Call me when you have an update, love you," I said to Quinn as I gave her a kiss on the cheek. I ran to the front door and looked back into the kitchen. "Thanks, Cynthia. For doing this," I said as Cynthia was already preparing the dinner. Cynthia shoot me a smile and I ran out of the house towards the Tesla. I had to do everything fast forward if I wanted to be at the airport sooner then the guys landed. With extreme speed I drove away from Kyle's mansion and made my way towards the airport. I bit my nail as I drifted away into my own thoughts again. Just a few years ago I was a train wreck being held up by Kyle and Quinn. We also dreamed about having the world's most popular and well being company, helping to change the world and stuff. Now we are one of the richest friends and I still can't believe it. People say fame changes people but I still feel like the old me, just with a bunch of cameras following em everywhere I go. I got interrupted by a loud ring in the car. My phone was connected to the bluetooth so I could call hands free.
"Spill," I said as I accepted the call and saw it was Quinn. I checked the time and hadn't even noticed I was already near the airport. Damn, time flies.
"Kyle accepted it, under one condition," Quinn said and I could hear the fear tone in her voice. I frowned a bit as I checked my mirror to see if I could make a turn without crashing another car.
"What's it?" I said, not really caring what it would be. I drove onto the parking lot of the airport near the entrance so the guys could see me easily.
"You and him go back to training, like you used to," Quinn said. I stopped breathing for a second which caused me to choke on my own saliva. Kyle and I only train when there's something dangerous going to happen. I never thought we'd be doing it again since the last time...
"I..." I tried to say something but I saw the guys coming out of the airport. "The guys are here, just tell Kyle something, ok?" I said to Quinn and immediately hung up the call. I got out of the car and walked towards the other side. Ethan ran towards me while he carried his luggage. I smiled brightly at him as he flew into my arms.
"I missed you!" Ethan said as he hugged me tightly. I snuggled into his neck and closed my eyes. Somehow I cherished this moment more then before and I knew damn well it had to do with Kyle's demand.
"Let's get your bags into the car and head home, shall we?" I asked them as I pulled away from the hug and opened the trunk with just one click.
"Well, we brought a guest since she couldn't stop talking about you," Louis said and I saw he was a bit annoyed. I frowned at him bit as I didn't know what he was talking about.
"She?" I asked him and right after I heard someone yell my name. I looked towards the entrance and I saw Emma running up to me. I was a bit surprised but I also felt guilty, because I forget about her after all the drama. She ran into my arms and we held each other tightly. It sure was a relief knowing I'd be one other female in the house beside the guys and Quinn.
"Ok, come on. We don't wanna be late," I said as we loaded the luggage into the trunk. Grayson was oddly quiet for someone who FaceTimed me earlier today. We got into the car and as we drove off from the airport and headed back home I called Cynthia because we had another guest for dinner.
"Scott's mansion," Cynthia spoke into the phone. I smiled softly but immediately remembered the rest could hear her as well so I decided to speak up.
"Hey, Cynthia. It's Delilah. Is there a possibility you can make dinner for plus one?" I asked her as I focused on the road at the same time.
"You know me, Delilah. I always make dinner for a whole mansion which is very fitting in this situation," Cynthia said and we both laughed about it.
"When you're finished you can go home to your family and enjoy your early hours off. You've done more then enough for today," I told her and I could hear the gratefulness in her voice when she responded. "Kyle and I can take it over from here, is he and Quinn already home?" I asked Cynthia.
"They are, do you wanna talk to him?" Cynthia asked and I hummed at her. It was a habit of me to hum as a response while I was driving because I was so caught up in focusing on the road.
"You've got a lot of nerves today to do your own thing after I got mad at you," Kyle spoke into the phone and I immediately rolled my eyes. "Don't roll your eyes, missy!" Kyle said like he could see me doing it.
"Well, last time I checked you gave me the day off so you're not my boss today!" I shot at him and I heard Emma and Ethan quietly laughing.
"Just get your ass over here before I change my mind," Kyle said and he hung up the call. I let out a frustrated sigh as Kyle was a pain in the ass. It was awfully quiet in the car so I was lucky we were just a block away from home.
"Is he always like this? If so, I need to teach him a lesson!" Louis said as an overprotective brother. I chuckled at him as I shook my head.
"He's my boss and best friend, he is supposed to be a pain in the ass from time to time," I said to Louis as I drove up the parking lot at the mansion. I looked at the front door and saw it was slightly open. "Shit..." I whispered to myself and got out of the car immediately. It was too suspicious for Kyle to want to train with me again and now the door that is slightly open. "Stay in the car!" I scream-whispered to the guys in the car. I shut the door and locked the car in case they didn't listen. I ran to the front door and saw a shadow from someone in the kitchen. I looked the other way and saw Kyle looking at me. He was hidden from the person in the kitchen and he quickly threw a gun at me. I caught it and took one last glance to the car and saw everyone was watching at me in fear and confusion.
"Duck!" Kyle yelled at me and the door flew open in front of me. The person from the kitchen stood in front of me with a mask on his face. Anger took control over me and I kicked the person in his stomach. I heard some guns clicking, which meant the safety pin was off. The noise came from behind me and as I slowly turned around I saw two masked man holding their gun at me. I looked towards the car and saw Ethan and Emma were scared while Grayson and Louis tried to get out of the car to come and help me but they had no success. I held my hands up in defeat and saw the two masked man were distracted, why do all men think that women give in so easily?
"Not today," I said to them as I kicked them on their knees so their kneecap dislocated. They groaned in pain and I punched the guns out of their hands. I grabbed one of their guns and held it on their heads.
"Delilah, no!" Kyle yelled at me as he ran out of the house towards me. Kyle stepped in front of me and he lowered my hands so the guns were facing the ground. "If you kill them, we are forced to call the police. If we spare them they get to be put in jail for the rest of their lives, like we always do," Kyle said and I slowly nodded at him. He slowly grabbed the guns out of my hands as I grabbed the handcuffs from his pocket and put them on the masked men. I looked at the car and unlocked it. Everyone ran out of the car towards me as I was out of breath. Now I understand why Kyle wants to train with me again...
