Delilah
We were back in Los Angeles, Ethan hid the gun so well that it took me a few minutes to find it once I was unpacking again. I let out a deep sigh as I looked to the gun in my hands. What did I get myself into? I looked at my initials on the gun and slowly rubbed it with a finger. Kyle wanted me to protect myself, but how can I if I don't know how dangerous this gang is?
"Li?" I heard behind me and I jumped a little bit. I turned around as I hit the gun behind my back.
"Grayson!" I said as my eyes widened. I saw he frowned at me as he slowly came closer.
"What do you got behind your back?" Grayson asked suspiciously and I quickly put the gun in between my pants and my back. I showed my hands to him as I shrugged my shoulders.
"Nothing?" I said to him as I tried to hide my fear. Grayson stood oddly close to me and I saw he moved his hands towards my back. My eyes closed as I could feel his fingers taking grip over the gun. I held my breath as I was shaking a bit.
"You got a gun?" Grayson asked me and I slowly opened up my eyes again. I looked at him with defeat. "You know..." Grayson whispered as he realized I knew about the gang. I was still holding my breath as I didn't answer him. "For how long have you known?" Grayson asked as he looked down at the gun. His fingers were tracing down my initials.
"Since Kyle got to my apartment..." I whispered to Grayson after a long moment of silence. Grayson looked up into my eyes and I saw how his eyes turned dark, but different then usual.
"And why did you got this gun? To kill me?" Grayson asked as he was getting angry. I immediately shook my head as I felt the tears forming in my eyes.
"I-I got it from Kyle in case I ever got into danger... B-because he didn't know what your gang is capable of." I told Grayson as I slowly grabbed his hands. "The night at my apartment, when we slept together I already knew you were in a gang, but it didn't stop me. Because I knew you wouldn't do anything to hurt me, physically." I said as I looked deeply into his eyes. Many tears escaped from my eyes.
"How do you know?" Grayson asked as he took a step back. His eyes returned to normal and I saw the fear and insecure on his face.
"Because I know the real you, you may have changed but you're still my Grayson. The one I got to grow old with." I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I may not know where we stand, or if I'm just a hook up for you, but I do know I will never change my thought about you." I said to him as I played with his hair with my fingers behind his head. Grayson stared at me for a little bit before the silence between us broke.
"You're not just a hook up to me... you know that..." Grayson whispered as he laid the gun on the desk besides us. "How do I know you trust me for real and you're not making this story up?" Grayson asked. I immediately saw the storm in his eyes again. Without a hesitation I kissed him on his lips. I got closer to him until there was no space between us anymore.
"Is that enough proof for you?" I asked him as I pulled away from the kiss.
"I want you to meet them." Grayson said after my words. My eyes widened immediately as I shook my head.
"No, Grayson. I don't want to be a part of it." I said as I walked away from him. I took the gun with me and laid it in my night drawer. I put my hair in a bun as I felt Grayson's eyes burning on my skin.
"Why? You're already acting like a badass with how you swirl that gun around. You would fit perfectly in our team." Grayson said as he sat down on my bed.
"No, Grayson! It's not a team! You, me and Ethan are a team!" I shot at Grayson as I got frustrated. "I'm not planning on supporting you with this gang, I'm planning on getting you out of this shit!" I said as I turned my back towards him out of frustration.
"Good luck with that since I have been this shit for over two years now!" Grayson shot at me and I immediately turned back towards him.
"Really? You don't seem like a fucking shit around me! Are you really planning on destroying that?!" I said to him as I gave him a push.
"You're angry? Come on then." Grayson said as he challenged me. "Throw it all out." He said but I shook my head in devastation.
"No, I'm not letting my anger take control over me. You either accept my help or start treating me like a stranger again." I said as I let myself fall against the wall. I slid down as I hid my face in my hands. "How can I save you if you're not letting me?" I whispered to myself.
"Here." Grayson said and I immediately looked up to him. He held his hand in front of me and as I grabbed his hand he slowly got me off the ground. He let out a deep breath before I saw he grabbed something from his back. He shove another gun into my hands and I saw his initials were on there. "You can have it whenever I'm at home. The best thing I can do for now is go to them in the weekends. That's all I can do." Grayson said as I stared at his gun.
"Really?" I whispered to him as I slowly looked up into his eyes. It wasn't the result I was planning to get but it was at least something, I had to make baby steps to save him.
"Yes, Delilah. I'd never lie to you." Grayson said as he grabbed his gun from my hands and put it in my night drawer. "And you're also sleeping in my bed tonight." He said before he left my room. What the hell was that supposed to mean? I frowned as I walked back to my suitcase. It was a hell of a long day and it wasn't even over yet.
