Delilah
"You're home early," I said and realized I might come over suspicious. I could really punch myself in the face right now. I looked at Kyle and I saw he already frowned a bit. I never complained before when he got home early, in fact I used to enjoy it so we had more time together as friends instead of as colleagues.
"Yeah, I couldn't work any longer knowing you're here by yourself," Kyle said as he but off his jacket. I'm not going to lie, he looked good in a suit. I smiled softly at him as Cynthia placed a cup of coffee in front of him. "No offense, Cynthia," Kyle said as he realized he sounded like jerk, neglecting Cynthia with his words. I heard my phone vibrate and I shut my eyes immediately as I bit my lip. I knew it was Grayson, because I just ditched him. "Who's that?" Kyle asked while I knew he had already seen the name on my screen.
"I can explain..." I whispered to Kyle. He raised his eyebrows and I saw the anger forming in his eyes. My face dropped, knowing there wasn't anything I could say to calm down Kyle. I promised him not to be in contact with Grayson anymore, that was why I came back to New York.
"Don't count on it," Kyle said as he grabbed his jacket and stormed towards the door. Tears formed in my eyes as I knew he was heading out. "I'm going to work," Kyle said as he walked out of the house and slammed the door behind him. Since when did my life become so complicated? I was perfectly fine before I went to Los Angeles. I should have just gone to Sean's funeral only, instead of staying with the twins. Ethan did nothing wrong, but his brother was the problem.
"Your Twitter is exploding," Quinn said as she entered the room, not knowing what just happened between me and Kyle. I frowned at her softly as I didn't know what she was talking about. I looked at the door as I hoped Kyle would come back, but he didn't. Quinn shove her phone in my hands and I saw thousands of tweets demanding me to explain the feud between me and Grayson.
"I can't handle this right now..." I whispered as I gave her back her phone and hid my face in my hands. I let out a deep sigh as I counted some numbers, hoping it would calm me down. I heard some shoving beside me and I figured Quinn sat down on a bar stool beside me.
"D, if there's one thing I learned these passed few weeks it's you have a big heart. We both made mistakes but nothing could keep us apart," Quinn said and I moved my hands, tilted my head and looked her in the eyes with a frown.
"What do you mean?" I asked her softly. My eyes were burning because of the tears I was trying to hold back. I was biting on the inside of my cheek as I saw Quinn rethinking her words.
"Why don't you fly Ethan, Grayson and Louis over here? I can talk to Kyle and force him to give them a place to stay here for a while," Quinn said and my eyes widened at her. I never thought that Quinn would speak out those words, as Ethan and Grayson were one of the reasons why I fought with her.
"I can't ask you guys to do that..." I whispered to Quinn and by the time I spoke that out, a tear had escaped from my eye.
"Delilah, back in the days when you were a broken girl and told me about the soulmates that left you behind, I never imagined it be the popular Dolan Twins. I always used to think the hurt you felt would disappear but when I actually saw you with them, I knew there was room in your heart for all of us. You need us, but you also need them. I'd be a devilish best friend if I didn't want you to be happy," Quinn said and I immediately pulled her in a hug. I held her tightly, knowing this took her every inch of her body to say.
"I love you..." I whispered to her and I could feel her smile on my shoulder. She pulled back from the hug as she smiled brightly.
"I love you too, now get back your brother and soulmates!" Quinn said and pushed me off the bar stool. I laughed at her as I grabbed my phone and dialled Ethan's number. It was ringing... and ringing...
"Delilah? Are you ok?" Ethan asked when he picked up the call and a smile formed on my face.
"Yes, I'm fine," I said and ran to my room. I had spare money saved in a box, I just needed to check how much I had left. "I'm gonna book a flight for the three of you, so pack your bags immediately," I said but Ethan didn't response. "E?" I asked and stopped what I was doing.
"Three of us?" Ethan asked confused and I inhaled deeply.
"Yes, I want all of you here. Pack your equipment and clothes, you'll be staying here for a while," I said and also counted the money I had left. One... two... three... would four thousand be enough? I sound so spoiled now...
"I-I will tell Gray, send me the details of the flight," Ethan said. We said goodbye and hung up. I didn't have to check of Kyle had enough spare rooms for them, because hello! This is a maze disguised as a mansion. I ran back downstairs and stole Quinn's laptop from her hands.
"Hey!" Quinn said immediately but I ignored her. I booked the first flight to New York from Los Angeles and send it per email to Ethan. I calculated in my head again and looked at Quinn.
"If I calculated it right, the flight takes five hours, it leaves in two, it's an hour drive to here from the airport so..." I whispered and re-calculated it again. "We have eight hours to convince Kyle, is that enough?" I asked Quinn and she smiled brightly at me.
"More then enough," Quinn said as she smiled at me. I smiled back at her and then looked at Cynthia. As if she could read my mind she spoke up.
"I will make a dinner for six, now go have fun before they arrive!" Cynthia said and Quinn and I immediately ran towards our rooms. I grabbed some clothes and ran towards the bathroom. Quinn ran into it also.
"You take this one, I take the other shower," Quinn said. Spoiled as Kyle was, he had three bathrooms and each had two showers and a bathtub. Quinn and I were never embarrassed around each other, we showered many times in the same bathroom. Like I said before, she was like a sister to me. We got ready and Iw as more excited then ever, if that was possible?
