Delilah
After the bath Grayson and I went to bed right away. I wasn't in for being among everyone else. Grayson stayed with me to make sure I was ok. It was not he following day as I woke up and opened my eyes and saw the sun shining brightly into my room. The spot beside me was empty and I figured Grayson was already downstairs. I groaned softly as I got out of bed and walked downstairs.
"Hey there," Grayson said as he handed me over a cup of coffee. I saw Emma and Ethan in the living room. My thoughts were right yesterday, the guys couldn't find a place safer than here for them. I smiled thankfully to Grayson as I grabbed the cup of coffee from him. "Would you mind if Ethan and I use a room to make a video? Ethan wants to make a video about what's going on since people saw us on the news," Grayson said and I slowly shook my head at him.
"It's fine, the rooms on this floor aren't used, I will be with Stefan if you need me," I said to Grayson and I smiled brightly at him. His hazel brown eyes stared into mine deeply and I felt something in my stomach.
"Thank you," Grayson whispered as he came closer and hugged me tightly. He snuggled his head in my neck and I closed my eyes at his touch.
"Alright, lovebirds. I gotta steal him," Ethan said as he gently pulled Grayson away from our hug.
"We're not lovebirds," I said immediately. My smile faded as I felt worry overwhelm me. I didn't had feelings for Grayson anymore, did I? He let me down many times, love doesn't make you do that. I immediately walked away towards the living room to avoid a conflict about the subject. I sat down beside Stefan and Emma on the couch as I sipped from my coffee.
"Are you ready for today, honeybee?" Stefan asked me and I slowly nodded at him. He gave me that nickname when we were still in high school, because I was too fast for him and whenever he found me I acted all sweet and unsuspicious like I didn't try to avoid him. Stefan was a good friend but in that time I didn't want someone who kept an eye on me all the time.
"Always," I said to Stefan once I got back out of my thoughts. I smiled at him as I stood up again. I needed to get ready because I knew Stefan wanted to train with me.
"We got your bow and arrow," Stefan said as he grabbed it from beside him. My jaw dropped and I immediately grabbed it out of his hands. I know it was old school, but I was a better fighter with a bow and arrow than with a gun. I still had my own gun just in case I needed it.
"I will get ready, real q—" Before I could finish my sentence the windows broke as there were bullets flying across the room. My eyes widened as I dunk to the ground immediately. I looked at Emma since she didn't had any experience with this and this was something she never went through. "Stefan! Go find Ethan and Grayson and take Emma with you! I send them to one of the heavy secured rooms!" I said to Stefan and he immediately picked Emma up and ran towards the rooms. I put my arrow case on my bed and grabbed an arrow out of it and searched for my first target. Everyone else in the room were firing their guns and the house looked a mess by now. This was the first time they attacked us in our home and this early. Normally after the first attack it takes them a week to attack us and when they do, they do it in the city. "Shit," I murmured as I couldn't see anyone. There were too many bushes outside and I bet they were hidden in there.
Grayson's POV
Ethan and I decided to do a livestream instead, because it was the most easiest way for now. If we'd make a video we still had to edit it and upload it. Now we just needed the wifi and hope the connection was good enough. As Ethan and I were about to end the livestream, Emma and Stefan barged into the room. I saw Stefan held a gun and Emma was afraid. This wasn't good...
"They are already attacking!" Stefan yelled and I saw the adrenaline running through his body. I immediately felt my muscles tighten and got up from the chair.
"Where's she?!" I asked Stefan in devastation. He only brought Emma here, but not Delilah. I immediately grabbed my gun from the back of my pants as I was ready to fight. I needed to protect her, safe her.
"She told me to bring Emma here and she had that look on her face that if I didn't listen she'd shoot me!" Stefan said as he immediately ran back. I turned around to Ethan as I pushed Emma on my chair beside Ethan.
"Stay here, ok? I'll be back," I said to them. I saw the fear in Ethan's eyes as he realized this was the real deal.
"I'm coming with you," Ethan said but I immediately held him by his shoulder so he couldn't get up from the chair.
"You're saver here than out there. I will keep you updated but I gotta safe Delilah, keep Emma safe, ok?" I said to Ethan as I walked towards the door. "Lock the door behind me. Only open the door when you hear three knocks, a silent moment, and two other knocks," I said to Ethan as I walked out of the room. I heard the lock switch behind me and I walked off knowing Ethan and Emma were safe. I held my gun ready as I saw the living room was a mess. Bullets were still flying around but from the direction I could see the fight moved to outside. I ran outside and immediately fired my gun to help my friends and the gang. While I was firing I looked around but I couldn't see Delilah. Worry overwhelmed me and I felt a punch on my arm.
"Keep your attention here, dude!" Louis said as he reloaded his gun. I slowly nodded at him as I did what he said. I couldn't find Delilah if we were still under shot. Minutes had passed before it became silent. I looked around as I lowered my gun. I saw a few of the gang laying dead on the ground. I immediately looked away again, looking for Delilah.
"Where is Delilah!" I said to Louis as I grabbed his collar. I couldn't see her anywhere and I was thinking of the worst. Louis looked around and it seemed like he just now realized Delilah wasn't among us. His eyes widened and I let go of his collar once I realized he didn't knew where she was. I ran my hands through my hair as tears formed in my eyes. I fell to the ground on my knees as my hands were holding onto my hair. She can't be gone, she can't be taken by them. She has to be here somewhere, she has to...
