Name: Honorius Jovial Vaccaro
Age: 17
Gender: Male
District: Three
Appearance: Honorius stands at an imposing six feet two inches tall with a lean, strong frame. His oval-shaped face is pale and blemish free apart from a single freckle on his left cheek, and occasionally odd strips of red when he blushes. His nose is straight and well proportioned. Honorius has sandy-blond hair that's not short enough to be called a buzzcut and not long enough to be called "medium length." His bright blue-grey eyes are surrounded by lashes that would make any girl jealous. He has deep dimples in his cheeks when he smiles. Honorius's eyebrows are his most expressive feature, as he often arches them when he condescends to those with inferior intelligence- which is most people. As far as super tall socially awkward nerds go, Honorius is relatively attractive.
Personality: Honorius has been described as a robot, though personally he hates that term. Just because he prefers logic over emotion, doesn't mean he can't feel. He just chooses not to share those feelings with the general populace. He's smart, as most citizens of District Three are, but Honorius's born determination to try his hardest and always one-up himself puts him in a class above many of the others. His most defining trait is his snark, which if set-loose on an unsuspecting victim can cause devastating results. Honorius prefers to spend his time at home in his lab, where he's attempting to create a zombie virus-- for fun. Honorius tends to be on the serious side, and he's always respectful of authority and his peers. (The peers that deserve it, at least.) He is more mature than most people his age, and even some older, and he carries himself with pride. Honorius does not like to be touched. Any sort of physical contact with another human is bothersome, and hugs are completely out of the question. Unknown to most people, Honorius has a terrible phobia of spiders, and can swear in several different languages.
History: Honorius is the oldest son of a pair of mad scientists. Well, they may as well be mad scientists. Close enough. Honorius, his younger brother Didymus, their parents live in a quaint house-turned-laboratory in the middle of District Three. The four of them are constantly in the middle of one experiment or another, often resulting in variously sized explosions and electrical fires. A family that mixes toxic chemicals together, stays together. A majority of Honorius's father's experiments focus on the genetic mutation of animals, and as a result the family owns six lab rats. Honorius formed an attachment to the rats and keeps them in his room when they aren't being experimented on. Their names are Juju, Luka, Jaime, Vayu, Lyle, and Randy. The Vaccaro's have a large extended family, with many generations of Honorius's. Unfortunately, Honorius is not even a real Vaccaro. His grandfather was adopted into the Vaccaro family because his actual parents were on the run from Peacekeepers. And because his grandfather was not a real Vaccaro, his father was not a real Vaccaro. And because his father was not a real Vaccaro, then that means Honorius and his brother Didymus are impostors. Honorius hopes to attend a prestigious school to study some sort of bio-engineering, which he plans to use to create the virus that will start the zombie apocalypse and exterminate the human race. He claims to have the world's best interests at heart.
Reaped
Reaction: Well, it came as no surprise, really. The previous night he'd calculated his chances of being Reaped and the odds were definitely not on his side. Upon hearing his name called, Honorius silently made his way to the stage with his head high, while in his mind he was reciting the periodic table to keep calm.
Strengths:
Intelligence. True to his District Three upbringing, Honorius is exceedingly bright. He's applied to seven of the District's finest academies, and he'll probably be accepted to every one of them.
Combat skills. Honorius's love of learning extends well beyond wires, gears, science, and math. From a young age, he has trained in different variations of hand-to-hand combat. He would never volunteer for the Games, but he knew the statistical probability of being Reaped and he didn't want to be defenseless in the arena.
Glorious snark. A sharp wit is often better than a sharp sword, and if his kicks aren't enough to drop someone, his copious levels of sarcasm and snark will.Weaknesses:
Emotionally distant. Honorius prefers logic and reason over emotion, and so he tends to keep his feelings dangerously bottled up. As a result, he often finds sharing his true emotions about any given thing to be a difficult and bothersome task.
Socially inept. Honorius can't people. He prefers to be in the lab where the only organisms he has to interact with are his rats, and they don't mind his awkwardness as long as they're being fed.
Know-it-all. Going hand in hand with his lackluster social skills, Honorius is a bit of a know-it-all. He knows a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, he knows that he knows a lot of stuff, and he wants the few people he does socialize with to know he knows all this great stuff. As a result, he will regularly correct someone's facts in the middle of a conversation, even for the most unimportant topics.Weapon: Despite his knowledge in hand-to-hand combat, Honorius is still from District Three and nowhere near Career level. The only weapon-like item he's comfortable handling is a screwdriver.
Token: A pocket periodic table. He won't need it since he already has the entire thing memorized, but the small, laminated card still provides him comfort.
