Final Awards

This award was highly  contested, which I found quite surprising, as it requires strength as a  pair! However, the winner and runner-up are almost painfully obvious,  being my personal favourite district and the one with the most success  in the Games covered by the actual books.

Best District: (+1)
Runner Up: One - Jamilla Argentaria and Cartier Graff (Zelda2h2)
Twelve - Hester Irving and Orion Osmont (MagmaKepner, TheDarkHorse)

Though this award often  goes to a writer unestablished to my Games who takes me by surprise  (like the runner-up), I felt the need to highlight the progress of  somebody else. Previously, this author hadn't had much success in my  Games (or many I'd seen around me) but they showed clear improvement  throughout this competition and charmed me with their efforts, very  nearly making their way to Quarterfinals!

Dark Horse: (+1)
Runner Up: Calder Sertori (totallynotgerardway)
Scorpio Ramsey (TheFactionless)

This next award actually  does go to somebody new to my Games - I believe that's why it's called  the Newbie award. Not only did this author have the most success, but  they also remained involved after their eventual elimination. I'm very  glad they managed to find their way to these Games!

Best Newbie: (+2) (+1 for runner up)
Runner Up: Marley Boxman (ccaayy)
Calder Sertori (totallynotgerardway)

One of my favourite  things about the Games lately are how pretty the names are. So many of  them just have such a nice ring to them, which I've never understood  because it's literally just an arrangement of letters. However, one did  manage to stand out as my favourite, and not even because it was  particularly pretty, but because Pokémon.

Best Name: (+1)
Runner Up: Maiesta Portuns
Lennox Riolu (Clove_Thenardier)

This award goes to a  character who sadly didn't make it very far after their writer dropped  out, though I would've liked to see more of them. What actually sold me  on the character, however, was how interestingly the first task (and the  events before it) affected her.

Best Character: (+2) (+1 for runner up)
Runner Up: Annalise Lutz (jujukingofearth)
Winslet Lucerne (EverydayAwkwardness)

With the amount of  people who handed in at the last minute, it was extremely difficult to  select a winner - eventually I had to go on my emails and look at who  had the worst average time on handing in (up to semifinals). Really, the  only reason I'm giving a point for this is because I'm impressed by the  level of last-minute this is.

The Jack Award for Procrastination (+1):
Runner Up: Orion Osmont (TheDarkHorse) - 26
Jamilla Argentaria (SilverAndGoldfish) - 4

This entry was full of  splendid entries; you don't need to look any further than the amount of  twelves I gave during the Games! And let me tell you, that's definitely  out of character for me. Nonetheless, despite your all wowing me, some  entries managed to amaze me even more than others.

Best Entry: (+2) (+1 for runner up)
Runner Up: Jamilla Argentaria (Task Six: Begin Again /QF) ~ SilverAndGoldfish
Winner: Orion Osmont (Task Five: Moving Day) ~ TheDarkHorse

Surprisingly, despite  the ridiculously high amount of people handing in at the last minute,  the two authors who took two tributes actually managed to never hand in  on the last day. Therefore, I decided to reward them for it, in  particular the one who almost always had them in by the time the weekend  came.

Bless You/Early Bird: (+2) (+1 for runner up)
Runner Up: ElfOfResilience (Kimiko Zhen and Delta Emerson)
Clove_Thenardier (Yuna Alvarez and Lennox Riolu)

Very few tributes  actually managed to survive voting more than once, so this award was  tricky to give out. However, the difference between these two people was  that one managed to get through on a tiebreaker and was only awarded  half a round of voting.

Fan Favourite: (+1)
Runner up: Jamilla Argentaria (SilverAndGoldfish) - 1.5
Annalise Lutz (jujukingofearth) - 2

Make sure to tune in an hour to spot our victor!
