Author's Note: Hi, my dear readers and Soy Luna lovers! :) Welcome to a brand new chapter about Pedro, Delfi and their still unborn twins :) Thank you for reading and I hope that today's chapter will be as good as the previous ones. Have a nice day and enjoy reading :)
-----9 years and 4 months after the end of season 3-----
Delfi was now four months pregnant with her and Pedro's twins. She was very excited of becoming a mother, so she bought as many books as she could find to be informated. Because of her above standard pregnancy, Delfi had to quit her job ten weeks ago. Since then she was at home preparing herself and the house for the arrival of two new people.
That day Delfi was planning a nursery for their babies. She was standing in the spare room and she was talking to herself. "Yes, this bed is awful, we have to move it out. Blue walls seems so cold to me, even for two boys. Besides the book says that cold colours are not good for children and blue is cold. We should paint it with different colour. Maybe orange? That would be a good choice for both two girls or two boys."
Then, very satisfied with her planning, she turned her attention to her growing belly. Because she was expecting twins, her belly was bigger than bellies of a women who were four months pregnant with only one child.
"Hi, my sweet boys or girls. Me and daddy are very excited that you are finally on the way. We love you so much. I have a question for you. Do you like orange? Because if not, I honestly don't know which colour we should choose. Look, sweethearts. Daddy's home, he came from work! We have to welcome him." She smiled and turned around to face her beloved husband.
Pedro was smiling when he pressed his lips on Delfi's. "So, how have you all been today?" Delfi smiled. "We're great. We decided to paint this room with orange." Pedro raised his eyebrows. "We?" Delfi laughed. "Sorry, I speak now only in plural because of the boys."
Pedro smiled victoriously. Delfi asked confusedly. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Pedro smiled and replied. "I was waiting a long time for you to make this mistake. I got you, I got you. You said 'the boys'. What if they are two girls?"
Delfi felt embarrassed immediately. "I don't know why I said that. I just assume that they are boys." Pedro observed, smiling widely. "Are you serious? You would like to have two troublemakers and both the same age?" Delfi blinked. "Why not? I always wanted a son as an older child. One or two, it's no big difference."
Pedro shook his head, while laughing. "Honey, you clearly don't know what are you saying. Trust me, having two boys is way more challenging than having one. They have to try everything that you tell them not to do, because the fact that you said 'don't do that' makes it way more interesting for them. On the other hand, two girls are like angels, always sweet and quiet, nice and so beautiful."
Delfi laughed. "So you don't want boys, because you want two girls? And have you considered that two girls are way more expensive than two boys?" Pedro frowned. "Why?" Delfi smiled. "Because I guarantee you that if they are my daughters, they are going to LOVE shopping for clothes, while the boys don't care about fashion so much." That last statement made Pedro pale in the face, because he knew that Delfi was right.
Pedro then said. "It's not like I don't want boys. I'd like to have a son and believe me, it doesn't matter if they are two boys or two girls, I'm always going to love them the same." Delfi smiled. "You'll be a great father, really. And it's obvious, I'm going to love them the same. And I always wanted a daughter, but for the second child."
Pedro smiled. "There's no point in speculating about the gender of our children, Delfi. We'll find out tomorrow, it's the second ultrasound." Delfi nodded. "You're right. I have a feeling that we'll be surprised and I don't know why."
-Next day-
Delfi and Pedro entered Delfi's doctor office for the second ultrasound and check up of their babies. The doctor was smiling while asking. "Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Arias. So, how's it going?"
Delfi smiled when she answered. "Honestly? I'm feeling great. My morning sickness lasted only two weeks and it stopped few weeks ago. I eat healthy and I stopped going to work ten weeks ago, but I told you this the last time that I was here. I'm trying to avoid stressful situations and I think that I'm being successful. But my backache is getting worse as my belly grows."
The doctor nodded and stated. "That's inevitable, you're expecting twins. I can recommend you some massages that your husband can do to you to avoid the pain, if you want." Pedro said, participating into the conversation. "Yes, please. I'm willing to do everything to help Delfi to get through this." Delfi smiled at him and squeezed his hand. Pedro dedicated her one of his famous smiles.
The doctor continued. "I have results of the bloodtests that we took two weeks ago. I can assure you that your twins are both healthy and are developing like they should." Both Pedro and Delfi released a sigh of relief after these words.
The doctor smiled. "Can we look at your children with an ultrasound now?" Delfi exclaimed excitedly. "Yes, please."
Soon, on the screen appeared two silhouettes of two small babies. Pedro teared up a little at the sight. He whispered. "They have grown up since last time. And they are so beautiful." Delfi had to wipe her tears away when she replied. "Yes, they really are."
The doctor interrupted their small talk with a question. "Do you want to know the gender of your babies?" Pedro looked at Delfi waitingly. Delfi said. "Yes, please. Tell us, we really need to know, if we should buy everything in pink or blue." Pedro started laughing. Delfi looked at him. "Stop laughing, Pedro. It's serious." Pedro raised his hands in the sign of giving up. "I'm sorry."
The doctor turned her full attention to the screen. "Let's see. I can see a boy, that's for sure. Your first child is a boy." Delfi exclaimed happily. "See? I told you that we're having two boys." But her triumphal speech was interrupted by the next doctor's words.
"Am I seeing right? Yes, I think that I am. I can tell you with 98% assurance that your second baby is a girl." Delfi's smile faded and her eyes widened. "Are you sure?" The doctor nodded. "Yes, I am."
Pedro smiled victoriously. "Both of us were right. I think that this is the best option. I just cannot believe that we didn't consider this option: one boy, one girl." Delfi smiled. "I'm glad that we have both girl and a boy. But I really don't know how to decorate the nursery when we're having both genders."
Pedro assured her. "Calm down, darling. We'll figure it out and remember that we still have five months until the twins are born." Delfi smiled and said. "Yes, that's true, but we have to plan it carefully." Pedro decided not to protest, because he knew Delfi very well.
