20. Jico - The perfect name

Author's Note: Hi, girls! Welcome to a brand new chapter about Jim and Nico. Next week you can look forward to Yamiro chapter. But back to today's part, I hope you'll like it :)

-----8 years and 9 months after the end of season 3-----

Ever since Nico and Jim found out through the ultrasound that they were expecting a girl, Jim was unstoppable from planning the nursery for their girl and Nico was on a cloud nine. His friends were happy for the two of them and also a little bit jealous, because Nico was the first father in Roller Band (except Matteo).

That day Nico and Jim were sitting around the kitchen table and were discussing baby names. Jim proposed. "What about Adela or Agata? I like both these names." 

Nico was already shaking his head. "No, forget it, Jim. I'm not going to call our princess 'Ada', neither 'Aga'. These names are nice, but not for our girl. They seem too stiff and harsh for our little girl. What about Luz? I like that name, plus it has a really positive meaning."

Jim growled. "No, absolutely not! How would we call her? This name can't be soften."

Nico threw up his hands in the air in the sign of giving up. He was tired. "Jim, this is ridiculous. You don't like any name that I suggest." Jim looked him deeply in the eyes and retorted. "Neither do you."

Nico tried to stop, or at least slow down the argument that was slowly growing between them. "Jim, we're debating over this for two hours straight. I think we should go to bed and tomorrow it will be better."

Jim disagreed. "No! We can't go to bed, we can't just give up! You know very well that tomorrow we won't decide on anything, because we're going shopping for baby things. There are still some of the names left."

Nico sighed. "Okay, tell me." Jim looked up at him, completely horrified. "These were the last that we've put on the list."

Nico stretched his arm out for the book full of baby names. "Let me look. There has to be at least one that would suit our baby and which we both would like."

Jim objected, but Nico wasn't listening. "We've searched through the whole book twice and we haven't find anything." But in that moment Nico looked up at her with shining eyes.

"Jim, we had to overlook this name. Olivia. What do you think? We could call her Oli or Via as well. It's a nice and soft name. I really like it and I think that it could suit her."

Jim smiled satisfiedly. "Yes, it's a beautiful name for our girl. Olivia, I like it. It suits her perfectly. Nico, I'm so happy that you found this name. I can't believe that we didn't notice it before!"

Nico laughed. "So, if you agree, I guess that we have a name." Jim nodded happily. "Yes, we have. Olivia Navarro. Beautiful."

Nico then glanced over at the clock and said caringly. "Jim! It's already 11 p.m! You shouldn't stay up late, it's not good for you, and even worse it's for Olivia. We should go to sleep, really." 

Jim went pale in the face. "Oh no! I didn't know it was this late already! Yes, you're right, we're going to bed." She stood up, but had to hold onto the table, because her baby bump was now way bigger than before. Nico rushed over to her, panicking.

"Jim, love, be careful! Are you alright?" He asked at the edge of panicking. "Yes, I'm fine. I need to get used to the size of my body." She laughed and headed to the bedroom with Nico only one step after her, to catch her if needed.

Nico was soon asleep. Jim envied his ability to fall asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow, because the bigger her belly was, the worse could Jim fall asleep. And because Jim knew that when Nico sleeps he can't hear anything, she decided to talk a little to their baby girl.
