19. Gastina - Son or daughter?

-----8 years and 10 months after the end of season 3-----

Nina was at home writing an article about pregnancy to a magazine that she was working at. Her boss offered her a job as an sketch journalist, so that she could stay at home and still write articles. Nina was very happy about it and since she was 17 weeks pregnant already, she was really relieved that she could spend more time at home.

The other thing was that since Nina discovered her pregnancy, she was full of inspirational comments, so she decided that she would write again and she re-established her account Felicity For Now. The people still loved it and that made Nina happy, along with the development of her and Gastón's baby.

Even though Nina was feeling happy about being pregnant, she started being so insecure about herself again. It was partly because her small baby bump was now visible even in her most loose sweatshirts and blouses from the past and partly because she was feeling fat and ugly. But she was wrong.

Nina was checking her article again with one hand placed over her belly. She was saying in the moment. "Wait a minute, honey, we'll be finished soon and mommy and daddy will give you the attention, okay?" She glanced at her small baby bump and sighed satisfiedly.

In that moment she heard a knock on the door of her office. "Hello, Nina, I'm home!" With that Gastón stepped in the room. "Can I come in or should I wait?"

Nina smiled. "Hi. No, come in, I just finished the article."

Gastón was looking at her intently, so Nina asked, insecure once again. "Is something wrong? Do I look fat?" 

Gastón gasped. "What? No! How can you even think that you look fat? You're beautiful! But where are your glasses?" He asked confusedly.

Nina smiled shyly. "I know that I look different without them, but I'm wearing contact lenses. I had a photoshoot today for the new magazine where I write articles now, and my boss said that I should put my glasses off, because he wants to make me a sexy upcoming mother, so that other women can see that pregnancy is not about being fat and ugly." She finished with a blush on her face.

Gastón shook his head dissaprovingly. "This is complete nonsense, Nina. With or without glasses, you look always beautiful. And everyone knows that pregnancy is everything, but not about being fat or ugly. And you shouldn't risk like this, what if your eyes are sore because of it?"

Nina shook her head. "No, my eyes are alright. It seems to me that you don't like how I look without glasses." She finished, feeling sad.

Gastón walked over to her and took her hands into his. "Nina, darling, I always love how you look, it's just weird for me for now to see you without glasses, that's all. But you look very attractive with the contact lenses. I just don't like the idea that your boss pushes you into something you don't want to do. And I'm completely sure that he likes you, Nina and the fact that he made a photoshoot for the magazine and he styled you to look sexy makes it even more obvious. And he is wrong, because you are always beautiful and sexy." He kissed her on her cheek.

After the end of his monologue, Nina forgot about her insecurity and smiled happily. Gastón always knew what to say to make her feel comfortable. He hugged her and asked lovingly. "And how are you and our little baby today?"

Nina smiled proudly. "I think that we're great. After a long time I could finally sleep at night without turning on the bed." Gastón laughed.

"Am I right when I say that tomorrow we have the second ultrasound?" he asked. Nina nodded and smiled. "Yes, you're right. They will tell us the gender today. Do you think that we're having a boy or a girl?" She asked curiously.
