-----18 years and 9 months after the end of season 3-----
The moon was shining satisfiedly at the Benson mansion and was enjoying the beautiful night. He could see through the window happy married couple lying together in the king sized bed.
Simón was holding his wife from sleep in his arms protectively and her head was rested on his chest. They were sleeping peacefully.
Suddenly, Ámbar jumped up off the bed with her heart racing when she heard that horror-struck scream coming from the bedroom of her and Simón's four year old girl. Her jump caused Simón to wake up as well.
He asked worriedly. "Ámbar, did you hear it?" She just nodded. Simón went pale in the face. "If someone had hurt our Flora I swear that I'm not going to let them get away with it." He said, deadly serious.
He got up and hurried to the room with Ámbar right behind him. When they opened the door, they found their little girl absolutely in shock and crying. Both of them rushed over to her.
Ámbar started to panic. "Baby, what's wrong? We heard you screaming. Are you hurt? Are you feeling sick or something?" She started to scan her blonde-haired girl with a proffesional mother's look that revealed everything.
She sniffled. "No. I had a terrible dream. Daddy, I'm scared. What if the monster will come for me?" Her big blue eyes grew even bigger because of her fear.
Simón came over to her and held her close to his chest. He stroked her hair softly and said. "Florie, I will never let some monsters take you. I will always protect you. It's alright, it was just a nightmare, now it's gone."
The girl looked at him, still scared. "But what if it comes back? I can't sleep now." Simón exchanged a quick look with Ámbar, then smiled at her encouragingly and said.
"Shhh, don't think about it. There is no monster." But Flora still insisted on her dream. "But what if it's hiding under my bed?"
Ámbar said. "No one is hiding under your bed. Who told you this? It's nonsense." Flora said, still feeling scared. "Samu said that some monsters live under our beds. That they are hiding there when we are in the room."
Simón stated. "I guess that I'll have a serious conversation with Samu about monsters in the morning." It wasn't the first time that Flora's older brother scared her with some monsters and she believed him.
Simón hugged her protectively. "Princess, come with me. We'll turn the light on and look under the bed together, yes? Take my hand." Flora carefully got up off the bed, took Simón's hand and looked under the bed swiftly.
She exclaimed, relieved. "There is no monster!" She smiled. Simón nodded, smiling at her. "See? When you'll feel like you have some monster under your bed, call us and daddy will scare them so much that they will run away."
She hugged him. "Thank you, daddy. You're a hero." He kissed her forehead while helping her lie back down on the bed. "Every princess has her own hero and you have me. Daddy with superpowers. Sleep again, yes?"
She begged. "Dad, will you sing me to sleep?" Simón had sat himself on the bed next to her and said. "Of course."
Ámbar knew that now it was alright. She noticed that Simón had lied himself on the bed as well, put an arm around her and started singing quietly. "Eres mi flor favorita en un cuento de hadas. Eres la frase más bella que más escuchada."
He carried on singing until his precious and sensitive girl's breathing slowed down and she finally drifted off to a peaceful sleep. Simón wanted to go back to their bedroom, however, he felt so tired that he stayed in Flora's bed with her and fell asleep too.
-In the morning-
Seven year old Samuel had got up and ran to his younger sister's room. But when he got there, he saw his dad and sister lying in one bed. In his head it clicked immediately that he had scared his sister with the story about monsters the day before and felt guilty immediately.
He knew that Flora was very sensitive and credulous. In her eyes and world there existed no lies or evil. She was pure, friendly, kind, good-hearted and very loyal. She took after Simón and from Ámbar inherited only her physical appearance.
Samuel, on the other hand, looked like Simón, but loved to be the best in everything. He was very self-confident, competitive and sometimes struggled to obey the rules. But he wasn't capable of hurting anybody, he was too good-hearted and fair for doing so. Music was his passion and also, he was incredibly intelligent and smart. When he promised something, he accomplished it.
He felt like he needed to make it up, since he was well aware that as soon as Simón wakes up, he will scold him for scaring Flora. Nevertheless, he was feeling bad for Flora because she must have had a really bad dream.
So he climbed to the bed as well and joined them. He tried to wake Simón up, but failed. Simón was really sleeping deeply. But his wagging woke Flora.
She yawned. "Mom, I don't want to get up so early." But instead of her mom's voice, she heard Samuel's giggling. "Good morning, sis."
She opened her blue eyes and faced Samuel's brown ones. "Good morning, Samu. Wait, what are you doing here?"
He smiled. "I came to chat with you or play with you if you want. It's Saturday, did you forget?" Every Saturday morning Samuel went to wake Flora up and they played together until breakfast.
She lit up. "What are we gonna play?" He winked at her. "Pillow fight. That's the only way how to wake dad up."
Samuel then said. "On three. One, two, three!" In that moment they started throwing the pillows at each other. They were shouting excitedly and Samuel was counting the points that they got.
The door swung open and revealed Ámbar still in her nightgown. She raised her voice. "What's going on in here?" But eventually, in that moment one of the pillows hit her arm.
She looked around the room and shook her head in disbelief when she saw that mess that her children made in five minutes of their battle.
Her surprise was even bigger when she discovered under the pillows and kids Simón still asleep. Flora giggled. "Good morning, mommy."
Samuel started to shake with Simón. He shouted happily. "Dad, dad, wake up! It's morning!" Simón finally opened his eyes and widened them.
"Wow. I feel like the World war 3 is going on around me." Ámbar laughed and climed onto the bed. "Don't lie. You were asleep until now." Simón just laughed and connected his lips with Ámbar. Their kids giggled and soon threw pillows on their heads.
Simón sat up on the bed and joined the pillow fight. "We'll see who's going to win. Hurray! Twenty points for me!"
Flora just giggled and hugged his neck. Their family was happy and very playful, just as it always has been.
