-----18 years and 3 months after the end of season 3-----

The summer slowly passed and turned into the time where the school starts. For the Ponce family it was a brand new experience, as their little six years old son Christian was starting his first school year at primary school.

Yam was really sad about it, because she just got the feeling that her little boy will now grow up faster. She and Ramiro discussed this topic quite often and while Yam was getting emotional of how big was their sweet son getting, Ramiro felt proud of him and was really excited of that because he thought that it was only good for him to spread out his wings and try new things without his parents always behind his back.

Yam was trying her best to sound excited to motivate Christian to be excited for going to school for the first time. But the boy must have sensed that something was wrong. That was when Ramiro came to the rescue.

He resolutely banned Yam from being sad in front of Christian and the motivation took as his job. He said with a big smile on his face while helping his curly black-haired boy into his school uniform.

"How are you feeling, Chris? Excited?" The little boy looked at him with matching eyes as his own ones and said. "I don't know. Mommy is sad about it."

Ramiro smiled at him assuringly. "Don't worry, she's happy for you, just as me. But you know her, she's very emotional." Then, he lowered his voice and looked Christian in the eyes.

"I'm very proud of you that you're not making a big deal out of nothing. Yam is overthinking like always. But you're not going there alone, are you? Vivianna and Amalia are going with you, so all of your best friends are going to be there.

Trust me, you'll have fun, just like in kindergarten. And you're going to learn lots of interesting things. And do you know what's the best part of it all?"

Christian shook his head with eager eyes. "What daddy? What is the best part?" Ramiro stroked his black curls. "That all of you will be in the same class."

Christian's eyes lit up. "Really?" Ramiro nodded. "Of course." Christian hugged his neck.

Ramiro just laughed, but then froze. "Christian? Where is your tie?" Christian shrugged. "I don't know."

Ramiro started searching through all of the cupboards chaotically, but had no success. He shouted  from the first floor to the kitchen where Yam was cooking the breakfast.

"Yam? Where is Christian's tie? I can't find it!" Yam walked out of the kitchen and shouted back upwards. "In the blue drawer!"

Ramiro then went to look in the blue cupboard and really, the tie was there. He went back to Christian and said. "You have to entwine it like this, then tie it. See?"

The boy smiled. "Yes, daddy." Ramiro smiled and said. "Let's go eat breakfast." While he was walking, he passed the room of their four years old daughter Silvia. He had opened the door and asked.

"Honey, are you dressed or do you want some help?" The blonde girl looked at him and whined. "Dad, my favourite t-shirt is wet."

Ramiro stepped into the room and spotted the pink t-shirt with a princess' crown lying on the floor. He said, while stroking her hair. "Choose another, then."

The girl suddenly looked at him with that stubborn look he knew since he was seventeen, because Yam always looked like that. Silvia took after her, not only the physical appearance, but also her personality. She was sweet, but could be very stubborn and insistent. She was very clever and sometimes too honest, just as her mum. But she inherited Ramiro's sense of purpose and competitive personality.
