Chapter 50: Match Maker.

I sat, perched up on top of an amp watching Peasnie help set up the stage. She was helping the guys set up their set in Long Beach. She’s out on study leave so she can go places with them. Matt’s been doing her right, making her work for things. He grounds her when she’s bad which is rarely, he makes sure she learns the value of hard work and he rewards her for her hard work. She’s getting paid so that’s going towards her future. Peasnie has been really busy lately which is making me slightly worried. She’s hidden the letters away so no one can find them but she reads them every night before she goes to bed.

I leaned against one of the bigger amps with one leg dangling over the edge, I was being lazy. Brian was helping organize everything; Zack was away on a coffee run since everybody’s been here since six this morning. Johnny is practicing and Matt is out back talking to Val.

I sat up on the amp and watched her lazily. I’d be eating grapes and reading Cozmo but I no longer need to eat and the magazine was taken away from me, bastards. I smirked.

“Peasnie, you’re spending your study leave time working with no friends, no boyfriend and minimum wage, at least demand for a raise.” I muttered to her swirling my arm around carelessly.

Peasnie shook her head unknowingly before tying her hair back out of her face, she’s let it grow out again, I like it long. She wore a pink blouse that showed a bit too much cleavage but it’s not like I can do anything, she wore ripped jeans.

She sighed heavily, getting down on her hands and knees to tape the cords to the floor for safety reasons. I wanted to know what was running through her head but it’s not like I could say anything and she’d hear it.

“You need a hobby.” I said sullenly. My attention was caught when Arin came waltzing across the stage quickly. I arched an eye brow slightly as old ideas came to mind, I smirked oh so innocently.

“Or a boyfriend.” I suggested quietly. He caught Peasnie’s attention as well; her head propped up when he skidded across the stage. I could see Peasnie’s lips curl into a small smile as she stood up to her feet graciously. He made her smile without having to do anything; he can make her smile period. She hasn’t smiled in nearly three years. I devilishly smirked to myself before shifting on the amp.

“Arin, go see Peasnie!” I called to him knowing he won’t hear me but the idea will get into his head. And I was right; he stopped and turned towards Peasnie.

“Hey, have you seen Matt?” He asked curiously. Hey, I told him to go to Peasnie; I never said what he should say. I shook my head slightly. Peasnie’s smile grew sweetly as she nodded. It was like watching her get Cupid’s arrow shot into her butt. Seeing something was clearly there between them I shall be the voice of reason and guide them to each other.

“Yeah, he’s outside calling Val.” Peasnie replied with a girly tone. I smiled and awed at her. Arin smiled and nodded before making a break for the back stage.

“Wait!” Peasnie burst out loudly. Arin stopped and looked over at Peasnie, her smile faded slightly.

“What?” Arin asked curiously. Peasnie furrowed her eye brows. I sat there anxiously, this was like watching a stupid soap opera and something really good is about to happen.

“Who are you?” Peasnie asked curiously. Arin smiled and chuckled lively. And there’s the arrow in his butt as well. I feel like Cupid here. See I was right, they’re good for each other.

“I’m Arin, the new drummer.” He introduced happily before making his way back stage. Peasnie smiled and nodded, getting back to work. She giggled girlishly at nothing. I knew it, she liked him. I smiled and teased her happily.
