CILAN'S POV

Kristoff let out a battle cry bago ito sumugod palapit sa'kin. He released a vicious combo of kicks and punches, habang ako naman ay sige lang sa pagsangga. Dahil Koreano si Kristoff, I thought that his fighting style would be leaning towards Taekwondo, but it's actually closer to Muay Thai. Nasasaktan na nang husto ang mga braso ko sa pag-block sa mga knee attacks ng lalaki.

​"Cilan, sigurado ka bang dedepensa ka na lang?"

​"Tamaan mo muna ako bago mo ako pangaralan, Kristoff!"

​I'm starting to get pissed off nang may mapansin ako sa tempo ng atake ng kaibigan. His elbow and fist attacks were blindingly fast. His kicks and knee attacks, while stronger than his arm strikes, were somewhat slower. If there's a perfect time for me to counter, it must be while he's about to launch a kick or leg attack.

​Hinintay ko munang umangat ang binti ng lalaki. When he did, I immediately ducked to evade the kick and delivered a low sweep on his left calf, but I got surprised dahil bigla akong nakuryente. I managed to take him down, pero napatumba rin ako.

​"Tuso ka talagang Koreano ka..." naiinis kong reklamo habang namimilipit sa sakit.

​Napatawa ang lalaki. "Alam kong 'yan ang weakness ng fighting style ko, ang low sweep kick. That's why I maintain some volts of electricity sa binti ko para kung sakali, I'll manage to counter."

​Pareho kaming tumayo. Mukhang sa pisikal na laban, halos pantay lang kaming dalawa.

​"Ngayon Cilan, susubukan na natin ang ating kakayahan bilang mga Elemental Magic wielders. Handa ka na ba? Astrapi Magic: Lightning Energy Ball!" Kristoff asked, as he formed an Electro energy ball on his right palm.

​""Yan mismo ang hinihintay ko," I responded.

I attempted to summon my own energy ball, pero walang lumabas. Oo nga't hindi ko pa nasusubukang gumawa ng sariling Elemental energy ball, pero naisip kong bilang isang Elemental Magic wielder, automatic nang kaya ko 'yung gawin. Pero bakit hindi?

Kristoff released the electric ball from his hand. Maagap akong tumakbo para iwasan 'yun. I did managed to evade it, and it exploded upon contact with the wall. Pero hindi pa ako halos nakakahinga ay muling naglabas ng panibagong electric ball ang kalaban ko. With all the speed that I got, muli kong nailagan 'yun, but when I looked at Kristoff again, he formed another eight of those pesky, sparkling projectiles. Ikinuyom ko ang kanan kong kamao. Damn, why can't I form any?

"Anong problema, Cilan? Mukhang hindi ka na naman umo-opensa," Kristoff asked.

​"I'm testing my dodging skills now. So far, I think I'm doing great," pagdadahilan ko.

​Kristoff smiled. Ewan ko lang kung binili niya ang alibi ko.

​"Okay, but let's see if can manage to dodge all of these," hamon ng binata , before releasing the electro balls... all at once!

​'Damn you, Kristoff! Ano bang galit mo sa'kin, ha? Ang hirap na ngang iwasan ng isa, paano pa kaya ang walong energy balls?'

​I ran furiously to a corner and managed to crash one to the wall. Sa peripheral vision ko, I saw two of the energy balls approaching me. I ducked to the ground at the last minute, habang nagbangga ang mga electro balls at sumabog. Isa pa ang muntik nang tumama sa balikat ko, kung hindi ako maagap na umilag nang pagulong.
