CILAN'S POV

Maaga akong nagising ngayong araw. Last night was a rough one. We had a blast of a mini-concert and I took some shots of alcohol together with the other Magic wielders, both from Celesticville and from the other delegations.

Pero may kailangan akong puntahan ngayon. May kailangan akong malaman.

​Lulan ng private jet na hiniram ko kay Prof. Archer, I travelled back to Manila. Around 8:00 a.m., nakalapag na kami sa pribadong bahagi ng NAIA. I instructed the Pilot to stay para makabiyahe kami kaagad pagbalik ko. I hailed a taxicab, then relayed to the driver my point of destination.

​After close to an hour, nasa harap na ako ng Yap residence. Geez... I still remember how my parents and their friends insists on calling it a mansion.

I knew the smaller gate's passcode kaya hindi na ako nag-doorbell. Some few steps and I'm now facing the imposing narra door. I sighed. This is it.

​I turned the doorknob. Pagkapasok ko sa loob ng bahay, I quickly noticed that it was very quiet. Halos limang buwan na akong hindi nakakauwi rito. Being back here made me feel both awkward and nostalgic.

​"Sino ka? How dare you trespass private prop— Luigi darling, is that you? Oh my God!"

​I cringed as my mother rushed towards me, before giving me a bear hug so tight I honestly thought that I was squeezed by a python. She then looked at my face and pinched my left cheek, much to my disgust.

​"Oh Good Lord, Luigi! I missed you so much, my son. And thank Heavens, guwapo ka na ulit!"

​"Luigi, my favorite son! You made me so happy with this surprise visit of yours."

​I rolled my eyes, just as my Dad reached out to hug me. "As far as I remember, I'm an only child."

​I felt my Dad jerked a bit, pero saglit lang at muli na niya akong niyakap nang mahigpit.

​Niyakag na ako ng aking ama papunta sa lounge ng living room. Nagpakuha ng meryenda sa isa naming kasambahay si Mommy before joining Dad and I. We were all seated when my Dad asked me.

​"I know that it's a pleasant surprise to have you here now. Pero hindi ba nasa CDO ka ngayon?"

​I nodded. "Yes, Dad. I borrowed the school's jet to travel back here and voila! I'm home."

"This is so sweet of you, Luigi. But that means you're here for something really important," hayag ni Mommy.

I sighed, before dropping the bomb to them. "I... I met him again. Muli kaming nagkita ni Winter."

Napansin ko ang biglang pagputla ng mukha ni Mommy, while Dad looked puzzled.

"Winter Chan? Hindi ba nasa France sila ng pamilya niya ngayon?" usisa ni Daddy.
